Has Anyone Seen Any DVC Improvements Since New President?

Has anyone who has recently been on a DVC trip seen any improvements since the new president has been appointed?

Has customer service, housekeeping, or any general improvements been observed? What have you seen?

I think it will take a bit longer than a month to realize any change. Seriously. Corporate America does not move in a heartbeat! But here's hoping (as I'm sure you are) that something nicer will happen for us DVCer's!!

What exactly were you expecting in 30 days? Especially against the backdrop of the BIG problems with Aulani?

So far, I'd say her biggest accomplishment has been NOT being Jim Lewis. And getting sales at Aulani restarted.

I can say this for sure- when we checked in at BLT last Monday the staff was better about saying Welcome Home and was right there to check on everything- from the moment we stepped out of our car someone was there Welcoming us Home and then checking on what we needed and passing us off to the next cm to take care of it. I had never had service like that except when we stayed at the GF for our Anniversary a few years ago and we stay at BLT a couple of times a year. I have no idea if that is from the new president or guest surveys or what but it was nice.

We do know that segmenting reservations ended. Who knows if she had a say in that.

He has created some shovel ready jobs at GF. He has repealed "Don't Ask, and we won't tell" about what is going with Aulani and he has instituted a healthcare program that covers all of the dwarfs and any of their pre-existing conditions.

We just returned from two DVC stays. The first was at BCV prior to the Members cruise. The second was BWV after the cruise. Our rooms were ready at noon when we checked in at both resorts. Not having to wait until 4pm or after was indeed a Welcome Home!

The most recent Vacation Magic - oops, I mean Disney Files - had more DVC news in it than the last three combined.

Only time will tell but I fear that our DVC problems are caused by the new Disney Corporate direction and not just the upper management at DVD/DVC.

Their goal is to sell contracts and cut costs, even if it sometimes has a negative effect on the DVC Members.

I thought the e-mail about adding on at existing resorts may be the result of a change in general sales philosophies from the hard timeshare model Lewis was pushing towards.
