You're right, @HopperFan ...I just thought it was strange. The summer promos don't usually show up until March and they aren't limited to the values.

I suspect this is the future of "free dining." Fewer full DDP/QSDP and more "here is a free quick service or snack for each day." Significant pullback.

I'm going to guess they are a few notches down from where they want to be occupancy wise at this point in time. Those summer rates are high, and there is ever increasing competition particularly from Cabana Bay. Remember that doesn't mean every room gets that, just enough to push their numbers where they want. So who knows, it may be 50 rooms only but the PR is "hey we offered some free dining discount."

Saw that. Looks like an expansion of "free dining" to now include what is normally a very busy time in the parks.

That would be my take. They probably hope once people jump onto this offer they won't have to offer free dining as the resorts offering the free QS will have already (almost) filled up.

Looks like last year all those dates had 10% off at the value and in 2014 5 -10% off.

This year for the first set of dates up to June 11 is 15% off at the value. I see no % off discounts for second set of dates yet.

Well, it appears WDW has had some quality control issues when it comes to their restaurants. With social media and forums skewering them all the time for lapses in service or food quality, they're probably reevaluating the benefits of offering Free Dining.
