Has anyone purchased tickets from RCI?

The Mousesavers website mentions a 7 consecutive day ticket deal from a time share organization RCI.

Has anyone purchased tickets this way? Per the info on Mousesavers, you do not need to be an RCI member. I am tempted to buy from them, since we will be there 7 days at Christmas and would like to be able to come and go from the parks as we please.

I know there is a 4 consecutive day deal on the Universal site, but the 7 day would work better for us if we don't need to be an RCI member and if the tickets can be used Christmas week.

Anyone have experience?
 
They are a reputable ticket agent. You won't have any trouble. I know of many people who have used them.

Edited to add: You will receive a voucher from them and then you will pick up the tickets at Universal's Guest Service window.
 
Is there any catches? That seems like a great price, about the same as the 5-day ticket that Universal had.

Not really. They are just ticketbrokers like Ticket Mania. They buy trickets in bulk with a discount and just resell them.

I thought you had to be a member but if Mousesavers says you don't then I am sure that is correct. I just clicked "buy now" and it did ask for RCI member number but it wasn't one of the required boxes so it looks like anyone can order.

Do you know where the building is? near Universal? And could we just buy them there or only online? Thanks in advance.
 
I've only seen online so I can't answer about picking them up. What I have seen is the order is placed online and you are given an order number. You print off that info and go to Guest Services at either IOA or Universal. You give them the number and they print off the tickets for you. Sorry I can't be of more help.

So I could order it online from RCI and take my order to IOA? or do you mean if I order thru Universal?
 
You order from RCI. RCI will send you an order/confirmation number which you print off or write down. Take that number with you when you go to Universal. Once at Universal, go to Guest Service window at either Universal or IOA. Give them the order number. They will pull up your order on their computers and print off your tickets.

I suggest printing off the entire confirmation page after you order from RCI.
 
There is one thing I don't understand.... how does US/IOA print all these different tickets like 4 day, 7 day, etc.? And why don't they offer these tickets themselves? Also, does it say on the website whether they expire or not? We aren't going until 2006, but since I've got two trips to plan for and this is such a great deal, I would hate not to go ahead and get them.


Edit: Just read "no expiration" note on the website!
 
Different types of tickets are offered online that are not offered at the park. One example is the 5 day bonus pass that was offered online on the Universal site. They can't be purchased at the gate. The Stay and Play ticket is a legitimate ticket which is only offered online. Other tickets which people can only get through going to time shares such as 2 day/one park only are also printed at guest services. Those tickets are called Star and Adventure tickets and you can't purchase them directly from Universal.

So when I order these tickets, I don't have to go anywhere but Universal? I'm staying onsite @ RPR, so this would be great.

Sorry to bother you with all these ????, but their computers will print them even if I don't get to use them for a couple of years? I still have a ticket that I bought two yrs.ago but never used because of the Stay/Play deal at the hotel. If I bring them a two yr. old voucher, will they still be able to print the ticket I paid for. Thanks soooo much for your help. I'm another one of those type A's that feels like I have to know exactly how everything will work no matter how far it is into the future! :rolleyes:
 
momnum1: Personally, I would never hold onto an order online for 2 years. Tickets are one thing as they never expire but an order is something else. Technically, it should not be a problem but in reality it might be quite another.

It's like ordering from a catalog and then not picking up the order for 2 years. Companies may go out of business or orders can be lost after a few years. I would not order anything from RCI or any online company unless I was picking it up within a few weeks but that is just my opinion. Older orders can usually be pulled up even though they are months old but it isn't a chance I am willing to take myself.

Foladar: Just make sure you place your order at least 48 hours in advance and have the confirmation/order number. Then you can pick up your tickets at the parks.
