has anyone ordered from disney direct?

I'm just curious. I ordered costumes for all 3 kids on 10/16, standard shipping. its now 10/26 and I still don't have them. talked to the shipping company because the tracking number dd sent gives no indication as to when it will arrive, just where it recently departed from. they couldn't tell me when it would arrive, but said they hope it will by thursday, but really couldn't say. they told me to call disney. I did, they told me they don't know at all, can only see where it last departed from. I'm just so fustrated! we have our neighborhood halloween party on friday morning, so if they don't come by thursday I don't know what I am going to do.

anyone else dealing with shipping issues? If this is the norm, I can't imagine they are going to be able to get peoples costumes odered on 10/21 to their homes by 10/30 (as stated on their website).

Yes I have placed several orders. They send it DHL/Airborne. Than DHL/Airborne sends it to the Post Office and than the Post Office delivers it to you. Seems like a strange concept to me but my first order took longer than I expected and I called and that is what I was told.

I ordered some costumes last Monday and while most of them are for C'mas, the shepherd's crook for Remy's Bo Peep costume is with it so I would like to get it before Halloween. Supposedly it is to be delivered this week, the tracking number says it is in my town. I still have to wait for the post office to deliver it though. I hate using DHL, I wish they could just send it UPS or even USPS Priority!

Mine was shipped DHL and then delivered by USPS. It took all of the 10 business days.

I hope they come soon.

yep, that is what they said, that it will be delivered by usps even though shipped dhl. for some reason it is in warwick, RI this morning, which even they thought was odd. if it can make it to albany tonight, should get to the usps tomorrow, then my house on thursday. that's a big if, though, she couldn't even tell if it would make albany today and if it doesn't, it won't be here by thursday.

Just got our Tinkerbell/Peter Pan costumes today! They were shipped the DHL/USPS and didn't even take a week! But all of my orders have been shipped that way even before the change.

I placed my order 10/15 and recieved my costumes by last Friday 10/22. I didn't have any difficulty. I hope everything gets to you in time! There may be a big rush with the big sale and everything! Good luck to you and have a happy halloween!

One of my main jobs at my company is tracking down packages we ship to collect on payments from our customers. I deal with all of the big shipping companies on a fairly regular basis.

DHL is a pain in the butt to trace and obtain proof of delivery for. UPS is a lot better for delivery to individual residences. I don't know why they switched but I suspect because DHL is cheaper now as it is trying to compete with UPS and Fed Ex.

I had my package sent to my business and it still came DHL to the local post office and than delivered by the Post Office. When the DHL guy comes to my office almost every day. Just doesn't make sense to me.
