Has anyone noticed Michael Jackson's fingernails in recent pictures?

I never noticed his fingernails. just his face is like a train wreck...I can't stop watching to see if something else changes. I am waiting for his nose to fall off, honestly. we all know it is removable.

I have noticed that before. Wonder if it's because the skin under the nails couldn't be 'bleached' - or whatever he did to lighten his skin - and they just look brown in contrast to his paper white skin??

He didn't have his skin bleached..or so I've heard. He has some wierd disease where the skin gradually loses all pigmentation for some bizarre reason. They say that's the reason he originally wore the one glove..the loss of pigmentation started on his extremeties and gradually went all over his body. I'll have to google it and see if I can find out what it's called.

It is called Vitaligo (sp?)...but I'm sorry, I know someone who has this. It comes in patches. It would be convenient if it covered a whole area so completely, like your face...but it doesn't. It is associated with auto-immune disorders.

What strikes me as funny is that he chose to go 'pale' instead of brown when he uses makeup to cover up the vitaligo patches. That is just strange because he is african american. It makes him appear to be ashamed of his heritage because he doesn't even try to resemble his natural self (in any way), IMHO.

Yes I had heard before that he has the skin disease but I'm not so sure. I used to work with someone who had it and as poohandwendy said, it was very 'splotchy' looking and it was in random places on her body.

If he truly does have it, I think he has done something to the surrounding skin to make it the same color as the vitiligo.

Oh, I am not saying he doesn't, not at all...I just think the way he deals with it is odd (by going white rather than brown). I am just pointing out that it does NOT just make your entire body one color or even whole parts of it, it has a very splotchy pigment appearance. Even the splotches are uneven and irregular. No matter what he chose, it would take lots of makeup to get an even appearance.

Of course you have to remember that I think he has stated that he has only had one cosmetic procedure done!! There have been Drs that have also stated that the whole body is not affected by this disease and that he probably has been bleached. I am not even so sure he does in fact have the disease. His money can buy any statement.

I think his hands are very ugly. I don't know what it is - they seem too big for his body or something. I've said to my husband many times "Don't you think he has the ugliest hands you've ever seen?"

Just my opinion, of course.
