Has anyone in NC gotten a post card code from disney this summer? We used a code for our trip this past Feb. with a post card code and have not gotten anything from disney since. Got 3 different postcards last year. Just wondering if anybody else has lucked up and gotten one.

We haven't received a postcard code this year at all, so far.

Yes, I did about two weeks ago. Oddly, they used a really old email address.

I got an email code for last Dec, and a post card in 2003, that was all. Don't they know if they send me one, I'll GO!! :teeth:

Nothing here. Not in a long long time - a couple of years to be exact AND it was, of course, for dates that didn't work for us. :-(

I've never received one!

Not to change the subject, but it's nice to see a group of folks from NC!

Has anyone driven to Disney before? We're thinking of driving in December! How long does it really take? I've seen estimates from 10 - 14 hours.

Thinking of driving through the night since dd is only 3 and she wouldn't fair well in the car for 10 hours.

I got an email code last year and used it on our November trip. Funny thing is it was in my Mother-in-laws name. She has never stayed on property before. But I had signed up for her a planning DVD and put in my email address, so I am thinking that is how they got my email address with her name. She doesn't even own a computer!!

I did get an email code last week, but it is that Fall one that everyone is getting that is like $1350 for 5 nights or something...really not a savings at all.

I am really hoping that we will get a code for a January trip. We are booked through AAA and we are paying $70 per night for Pop...a $59 rate would be nice!!

We drive to Disney each time that we go. It takes us around 9 hours or so. We live about an hour south of Fayetteville. We have made it in a little over 8 hours driving home before...we were going really fast though and that was before children. LOL

Our last trip we purchased a DVD player set with 2 TV's from Target. That thing is worth it's money in GOLD!! My kids love it.

We got a postcard code about two years ago, but nothing since. That particular offer was for $49 p/n for value resorts. I sure could use anoather one right about now.

Re. driving... The drive isn't too bad. When we lived in Asheville it took about 9 1/2 hours. We now live in teh triad area and are anxious to find out how long it will take to drive from here. The only way to know for sure is to do it :goodvibes

From just outside Winston-Salem, we can make the drive in barely over 9 hours, going the 40-77-26-95-4 route. That's 'running with traffic', which tends to move faster once we get to I-95 in SC.
Note: This is with our departure 'timed' to avoid both Charlotte and Jacksonville, FL rush hours.
We make 1 - 2 stops for gas, restroom break, and fast food.

The DVD player for the kids has been well worth the investment!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone wants them, I've got the exact miles (but not with me right now) from the 40-77 intersection in Statesville, by road segment, to WDW property.

Hey thanks guys! That's just what I was hoping to hear! We're planning to drive through the night and stop if we get tired. My dd is 3 so making a long car trip during the day would be difficult on her even with a DVD player. ;)

The longest we have ever driven with her is 2 hours and at the end of the 2 hours she had hit her breaking point.
