Has anyone heard anything about upcoming room only discounts for early November 2024?

I'm surprised it's a popular week. We've been around that time before and it hasn't been crazy busy. Guess we'll stick with off-site for now.

Up until these discounts, every single resort had availability for those dates (the week we are going). Most resorts still had all categories except for the Epcot resorts. I personally just think they didn't offer much inventory to begin with.

I hadn't been checking previously as we are happy with staying off-site. But, with the Genie+ news coming out this week as well as the discount I thought maybe we should reconsider and stay on-site. I'm very curious to see what happens with off-site guests being able to book lightning lanes with the new program starting next month.

Was anyone able to get the discount for Movies? We are going last week of October into the beginning of November and I don’t see anything popping up for Movies!

Keep checking, it's early and if bookings slow down, they'll probably release more inventory.

I got one for Standard view for the week of Christmas- New Year's, which funnily enough IS NOT available if you try to book at rack rate!

I have a reservation 11/29 - 12/8 for Pop. I heard this was one of the best weeks to go but now I’m wondering because there seems to be zero availability at Pop and the discount wasn’t available for my reservation. Is it worth calling or will they just tell me what I see online?

I would keep checking back, sometimes they release these rooms in waves throughout the day and in the days ahead. They never dump all the availability at once.

Pop can be tough sometimes because they block huge groups of rooms for high school bands/choirs, cheerleaders, etc. I remember when my son was in marching band and I was trying to get a room at Pop to stay close to him and I had to constantly keep checking back until one room finally came available. I swear sometimes I think it's the toughest resort on property to book.

There is a issue for Pop on Dec. 3rd. It is currently sold out. That is causing issues for guests trying to book currently around this date. If you check dates before or after they should work.

I just saw several itineraries that include December 3rd, like this 1 for 11/30 - 12/4. I think it’s just a combination of being a popular busy resort & the booking algorithm. Playing around with different combinations of check in dates & lengths of stays brings up availability.

Does anyone know the best time to check to see if more rooms are released or the cancelled reservations released? Would it be as they are cancelled so anytime of the day, midnight when the day rolls over or early in the morning like when it was released?

It's my understanding that a room goes back into inventory as soon as it's canceled.

This latest holiday promo feels like a sham to me.
I'll admit to being new to the Disney game - it's been ten years since I booked a room/package.
In March, I booked the Wilderness Lodge for the first week of November - and am prepared to pay for it without a discount,
but am feeling like maybe the rooms that I booked (resort view) will not be part of a promo (unless I had a bounceback).
Or is it because of the week that I chose to go?
How far off am I in my thinking?
Thanks in advance for your insight.

I will literally stalk the site every day and it usually works unless it's a super busy time. Pop Warner starts 12/7, that night could be adding problems at Pop as well.

This is how it always is. People say they always get discounts, but many past trips our room was never discounted! You have to be willing to switch room types or even resorts a lot of time to get the discount for your trip dates. We were extremely lucky this time and got a great discount.

Thank you for your response.
I was thinking about my post and it makes me sound like I am a spoiled brat.
I'm just not willing to switch resorts to get a discount. So looking forward to The Wilderness Lodge. :)

I complain every time we don't get a discount! 😂 We are never willing to switch either and like you, we just book what we know we can afford and then a discount is just a nice surprise.

Never give up. I wanted to treat my mom to CL last holiday season, and we were staying at BWI initially with a discount. I had been watching for GF rooms that were discounted to be released, and none were that I ever saw - I was online the morning they were released. At the last minute - as in, during my layover en route to WDW - a bunch popped up. I was able to call and get us switched. A bunch of rooms were suddenly available, so I agree with a PP that they just don't release all the inventory at once. Very rarely have I not gotten the room I wanted, it just requires stalking the website. (Yes, I'm aware that I sound like a lunatic, but I have some pretty long, boring meetings ;) .)
