Has anyone heard about whether DCL will be back in NYC in 2017?

I know they had a few cruises run in October and November but are there any rumors about coming back for some summer cruises when kids are out of school?

They did that one year in 2012. But to do that they will have to take away the magic or wonders bread and butter. The magic bread and butter is Europe the wonder is Alaska. They tried it in 2012 the prices were high but of course DCL makes a lot of money off of excursions. Europe has the number one excursions to make DCL money. Alaska is number two. Just my guess but I will say nope for the summer. I have been wrong before thou.

I really wish they'd bring the Dream up here. I know that's running out of Galveston but I heard somewhere that it was really difficult to fill the ship out of Galveston.

The Wonder has run seasonally out of Galveston-- this year it was Nov.- Jan. It is hard to fill because the kids are all in school here at that time. If they had a ship in Galveston during the summer, I think it would do fine.

I think a while ago there were rumored reports of the Magic showing on a port schedule in Europe for summer of 2017, so if that is correct, we probably wont see any NY cruises then. I too wish they would bring the Magic back north for some summer cruises, but as noted above it seems Europe is more profitable for them.
