Has anyone had luck getting general public RO discount this morning?

Booked BC Villa online, very fast, no problem. (Summer discount, August 23-26)

BC garden wasn't available, fyi.

I was only on hold for about 3-5 minutes and was able to change my POFQ to a POR for the same dates, Aug 24-Sept 1 with no problem. They got me though because I also booked the end of Sept for just me and my husband to POFQ on the free dining promo. Yah!!!! Now I have a whole bunch of reservations to make!

I have been on hold since 8 atlantic time (7 eastern) and all I want to do is update a current reservation with the discount. If I have to listen to its a small world one more time I may hang up LOL

I directly called at 7am your time, was on hold for maybe 15 seconds. Adjusted room only for Pop Century and FD for WL standard view

I've called twice and was on hold 15-20 minutes both times before I had to hang up to referee arguments between the kids. I'll have to try again later.

I already have a reservation that I just want to update to the discount. Don't really want to go to the hassle of making a new one and canceling the old. Just will be patient I guess. I'm occupying my time by reading the Dis Dining Reviews

I check in on the 9/28 so the room only offer would only apply to me for one day - but money saved is money saved, right? Anyhoo, I'm on my second loop of Disney music as I've been on hold for 90 minutes. At this point, my one-day discount is going to cover my phone bill lol.

And as soon as I gave her my res # she said she couldn't do anything b/c I had booked through AAA and I would have to call my AAA agent to make changes. I had no idea. Problem is I don't trust my agent to get it done- she is hardly ever in office and takes forever to return e-mails or calls.
Would have made res on my own but at the time there were no other discounts but AAA.

Go to Disney main web page. Then click "places to stay". Then click "special offers". It should be second listing on that page. HTH.

In the future, you can book directly with disney and still get the AAA discount without going thru AAA. Once you book with AAA, they are in charge of your reservation and making changes to it.

I booked us this morning for RO at Animal Kingdom lodge, Aug 17-25, online around 8:15 AT. No issues. However, now when I try to bring up the website, it will not load. Good luck everyone!

I called at 7am sharp ET and was on hold for 1 hr 45 min. I finally got through and updated my existing ressie for AKL. Saved $195 on two night stay!

I called at 7 and was off the phone having made my switch by 7:25 (which was awesome because I had a meeting starting at 7:30 at work!!!).

I switched from POFQ to POR Garden View, added a night to our stay and its still about $100 less. Not bad!!

This is my first WDW trip, so I'm not used to free dining or ticket discounts being available as well. So I'm not feeling disgruntled
