Has anyone had balloon sinuplasty?

Doctor is recommending this but I don't know much about it. Any experiences? What was recovery like? TIA.

I had it done last month, along with other sinus work. Ask how much bleeding they expect after and if you’ll need to do sinus rinses afterward to clean out the sinus cavities. They did not send me home with enough gauze and tape to place under my nose to catch the bleeding afterwards but that might have been because of the other sinus work I had done at the same time.

Was the bleeding from the balloon dilation or something else?

I had it done along with some work on my septum done back in 2019. However I can’t really speak much about the experience for having it done as a planned procedure. I had a sinus infection for almost 2 months that wouldn’t go away with multiple rounds of antibiotics and eventually caused orbital cellulitis and I was in the hospital on IV antibiotics for 6 days and had the sinus surgery then. So in my opinion, it was fabulous. I didn’t have any pain issues and I don’t recall much bleeding (if any). I was told to use a netipot 1-2 times a day for pretty much forever as well as saline spray but I admit I don’t do either.
