I know they are having it at the Grand Floridian Cafe during the PF refurb and was just wondering if anyone has tried it yet? I would love any reviews or pics!!

We are booked there for the last morning of our stay 9/16 and I am getting curious over the menu. The itmes seem so limited. Is there really no grits, no bacon, no pancakes, etc..??

Any info would be wonderful.

Did you try a search? I've seen some reviews but can't remember if they were of breakfast or dinner.

As for the limited menu, I've read it is preplated not a buffet.

For more variety you could try Citrico for breakfast although there are no characters.

Have fun!

I did try a search last night but never did have much luck. ;)

Sure wish somebody who had been would see this thread.:rotfl:

We really would like for the last morning to be a character meal for ds so that is why we choose this one. I hope we did not make a bad choice as far as getting one with not much variety in food. :rolleyes1

Just back....
Went to bkfst there on 8-30....
Way better than I thought it would be....

GF Cafe is really pretty...
1st they bring a fresh fruit plate and pastry basket...
Pot of coffee/tea and jar of juice...tasted freshly squeezed.

You order from like 6 choices...
Eggs Benedict over grit cakes
Pancakes w/bacon/sausage
2 eggs, bacon/sausage,potatoes.
Stuffed French toast

Can't remember the other 2...

Then they bring a big Mickey Waffle with different toppings....

Character interaction was good...
My DD had choco chip pancakes...

This meal was much better than I expected.
Enjoy

We ate there a few days ago. We got a last minute breakfast adr there due to having to cancel a dinner earlier in the week. The atmosphere was good and the food was plentifull. But I had to send mine back and reorder. I had a some type of bowl with bisquits covered with eggs, gravy, onions and peppers and bacon. The onions and peppers were virtually raw and way too many to pick out. Rather than be sick all day I asked for another selection. They brought me the same thing minus the raw stuff. After that we enjoyed the meal.

The character interaction was good. Especially the Mad Hatter. He was going the extra mile that day. As you can see in this picture. He was being lound and throwing things at Mary Poppins.

Wow, thanks for the info. So this is totally different from what I was told on the phone then. They said it was a pre-plated all you can eat meal. I did not know it was an irder a plate kinda deal.

:( I don't think dh will go for that. I sure hope I can get something else this last minute. :sad2:
