Has anyone had anything, or planning to get anything "done"?

I'm hoping to have my teeth whitened before our wedding, but at a recent bridal expo that I attended there was a cosmetic surgen doing a talk. Fair enough it's in his best interest to say that everyone gets work done before their wedding, but it got me wondering how many people do actually get things like botox or lifts done for their weddings...

I want to get my teeth whitened.

I did just have a breast reduction and a tummy tuck two months ago... however that wasn't for the wedding (vow renewal in my case) and not so much cosmetic as medically necessary. I had two pregnancies with complications that resulted in extreme muscle separation, combine that with 34I breasts and I had major back problems. I went from a 34I to a 34E (probably a 34D once the swelling is all gone) and my stomach muscles are back where they belong... my back issues have also disappeared. :cool1:

So I guess I sort of had the whole package, but not for the wedding... still, I'm definitely enjoying the (cosmetic) side benefits of the surgery.

ETA: There's no way I would ever have any of this done (except the teeth - that doesn't hurt anything) if I was young and getting married. Especially if I was wanting children one day. Actually, I put off the breast reduction until I knew I was done having children because I did not want to risk not being able to breastfeed my children. I've known since high school (34F) that I would get a reduction once I was finished having children.

There are fantastic bras and padded inserts for adding a little oomph to the girls for the wedding day. ;)

Hey there again!

I think I am going to get my teeth whitened before the wedding. I also saw the teeth whitening area at the bridal expo. I would assume that they are much cheaper than getting them done at the dentist. I heard the pricing starts at like $500 dollars at the dentist office or like BriteSmile. So, if I could sit in a chair at the expo and get it done for $100 I will. I don't care who watches! :woohoo:
I will probably also get my arms and legs waxed. Ouch!!

I'm planning to get my teeth whitening, my hair highlighted, my eyebrows waxed, a brazilian wax, and a mani/pedi....it's the one time in your life you can justify all that pampering!! (Plus I've saved up gift certificates for my fav spa!)

Teeth whitening at my dentist is like $450-500. So I used Crest Whitestrips instead. Not to sound like a commercial, but they really worked! I would recommend at least trying them before you drop the big bucks on professional whitening. Now granted I don't smoke or drink coffee or pop regularly so I'm sure that played a role in them working well.

I have a friend who is getting married next June and she already had her smart lipo because she had a fit when she had to try on wedding dresses that were 3 sizes bigger than what she normally wears. I tried explaining to her that wedding dresses are like that but she was inconsolable. So a month later she had lipo and is now a size smaller.

I don't think I would do anything as extreme, I'm OK with my plus size body. Maybe the double chin could get sucked out but that's it.

I'd like to be a little larger on the top, but DFi doesn't seem to like the idea. So I'm planning on just adding some padding.

I've thought seriously about doing laser hair removal, but it's not really fitting into the budget. If I win the lottery then for sure I'd do that.

My mom is a dental hygienist and she recommends the Crest whitening strips. She gave me the professional strength ones so I'll be using those babies up until the wedding.

I'm also doing a Brazilian laser hair removal. But since the number of sessions depends on the person it may not be completely finished.

I would never do something as risky as going under the knife before the wedding. Things can always go wrong. Heck, I won't even be dying my hair in case 20 years from now I look at my photos and think to myself... "what was I thinking??"

Wow alot of people are getting cosmetic surgery done!!

Nothing that extreme, I'm just doing Crest Whitestrips, i've used them before and they work really well, and you cant beat the price! I'm planning on tanning before hand, dying my hair back to its natural color, if I can even remember what it is :lmao: and getting my nails done...no waxing for me:scared:

My aunt had botox before she got married, but being only 23 I for sure do not need that.

I had cosmetic surgery 3 years ago, before I was even engaged, so it wasn't for the wedding- more so just because I wanted it. My mother had botox for my wedding though.

Cosmetic surgery is one of those things that some people are really against and some people are all for it. I see nothing wrong with it, you don't like something- fix it. I will say that the healing time in some cases can take a few months before you see the final result so if you are planning on doing "something" give yourself enough time to heal before your wedding day
