Has anyone had any experiences with ATA?

I know that ATA is under Bankruptcy protection, but I was wondering what other people have said about the airline. I guess when my mind starts thinking, I start thinking that maybe going with ATA wasn't a good idea. They had the lowest fares from my airport of choice to MCO, but Southwest was actually about $150 more than ATA. I only paid 547.60 for 4 people (taxes included) Please help!

ATA is adding flights out of Indianapolis. Just booked them for our trip in November.

Used them before... you get what you pay for... they load up with as many people as possible and go.... the flight attendants were the politest but all in all it was worth the savings for us!

I used them several times before they filed for bankruptcy, and really liked them. Now they have cut back their flights out of Chicago, so we aren't using them this time. But the planes and people were very nice. We always had pleasant experiences.

We used to love them and flew with them out of Chicago at least twice a month. But sadly, when they went bankrupt and started having their problems with pulling out of Chicago/not pulling out/pulling out, their customer service went into the toilet. Personally, I wouldn't fly them even if they claimed to be returning to Chicago because I no longer trust them...too many changes. Maybe other areas are different.

It's been a couple of years since we've flown with them and when we did it was a charter flight. But I have to admit we were VERY happy with their service. They seated the families with small/numerous children in the rear so they could board first and take their time getting situated while the other passengers boarded. Boarding was so efficient we were able to depart early almost every flight. Only flight I've ever been on where the flight attendent made a passenger put his seat in an upright position while drinks were being served (I've seen alot of passengers just ignore the request). It happened to be the guy in front of me so I really appreciated it! We were extremely please with their service and wished they had been competitive price-wise in our area. I'm sorry to see they no longer serve our market.
