Has anyone had a waitlist come through for AKL

HI guys,
i am currently on a waitlist for AKL. being from the UK its a long one - 10 days in july!

i know i am pushing my luck but what are my chances of this waitlist coming through? has anyone had any luck?

trouble is I need to book early as we are from the UK and with flights and work we have to be sure that we have a reservation so will always need to book our home resort of SSR at 11 months - i feel that i am always going to be stuck in this situation if i want to stay anywhere else

Yes! I had a waitlist come through for AKV. We were booked at Saratoga for 5 nights in June. About three weeks after I booked, our waitlist came through. This happened about three weeks ago. We only need a studio, so that may help. But, we got a Standard Villa, not a Value. (and it was still fewer points than S.S.) We were thrilled, since AKV was our first choice.

I had one come through for Christmas, but it was for only one additional day to my original reservation. Also, it didn't come through until about 3 weeks prior to my trip. Not to dash your hopes but with all the planning you need to do as far as air fare and such, I personally wouldn't wait on the waitlist without a backup plan in place.

We've been waitlisted for well over a month now for an AKV value room for early December. We arent expecting to get it. We'll just plan on staying anywhere we can when we can book out at 7 months. Hope THAT won't be a problem.??

I'm also waitlisting for AKL for July! We are booked right now at VWL. I realize that chances are slim, but the CM's I speak to are always very upbeat about my frustration. I figure the worst that can happen is I'll end up at VWL which is our favorite! We were just hoping to try something different.

We just called on Sunday to see if we could add a night at AKV before we check-in at BCV this July. The lady at MS told DH we got the last studio available for July 27. I couldn't believe they had anything for us!

thank you all for your input. lovely to hear that some of you have got in.

I do have a back up as in we are booked at SSR but i love AKL and so this would be perfect for us. we only need a studio too and i'm not bothered whether its value or standard so fingers crossed
