I'm SO frustrated. All the info being leaked out on here & allearsnet.com and then Disney dining having NO INFORMATION! I want to get an ADR for my son's 7th birthday on April 2nd. WHY AREN'T THEY TAKING ADRS YET?!?!!??? :(

According to the Casting website, the auditions for Sarge from toy story for the new MgM character meal were only last week. I would assume they would have to have time to pull it all together before making an official annoucement. I am waiting impatiently too!

I know, it's frustrating, but Disney won't release anything until they have it set up. That is one bad thing about the information leaked out to the internet - they get us all worked up and then we just have to wait.

Can you imagine the hold times for Disney Dining when the info is released?

I am sure it will be released here on the DIS before anywhere else, so just check the board every morning.

Because they aren't ready to take them yet. Imagine taking ADR's and then they can't meet that schedule.

It's not really fair to be frustrated with Disney because information is so easily spread on the internet. Now, I certainly appreciate getting a heads up on information in this manner but it really sets up high expectations for Disney because people have so much information these days.

I hope you get your ADR. :)

I agree with you about them not taking the ADR's until they are all set up, but the CM's acting like they know nothing gets annoying. I had a CM a few days ago that was going to her computer looking for this while I was on the phone with her. I heard her say, Hmmmm..." and then she came back with official line of "Disney is always looking for new character meals, blah, blah, blah........they have nothing scheduled in MGM for the near future". Now I know that she must have found SOME info and that she knows SOMETHING about this. If they just acknowledge that there will be a meal, they are just not ready to book it yet, instead of acting like they have NO IDEA what we're talking about, it would be nice.

I wouldn't assume that the CM knew about it - maybe she did and wasn't supposed to talk about it, but if the information hasn't been fed into her computer yet, she may genuinely not have a clue. I don't think it's all that unusual for us to know things before some of them do - they're not all WDW fanatics like us, they're not reading the DIS boards every day, and they only know what they see on the screen in front of them.

I'll never forget the dining CM who kept talking to me about getting a Fantasmic Dining Package at "Mama Mia's"!

Honestly, the CM's on the phone are probably the last to know about anything. I'm not saying this is their fault-I'm just saying information flows down so they probably don't know anything until an official announcement is made.

It's also REALLY annoying when they say, "IF there was a new character meal I would know about it. Since there's nothing on my computer there is NO NEW MEAL". BS! I know that's not correct....

While I understand why everyone is upset the Disney Dining says they know nothing, look at it from their standpoint. Most of their calls are monitored and if they give out information that they have heard but is not listed as fact in their computer, they are written up for it. Lets say Mary Sue tells you that she heard about this breakfast starting on such and such a date but can't book it yet. You call back a week or two later and the person you talk to has no idea there will be a breakfast but you say, well Mary Sue told me this and this. Guess what, Mary Sue may no longer have a job, yes I have seen it happen. All I can say is if there really will be a character breakfast at MGM in the near future, you just have to wait for Disney to officially announce it.

Just a guess...but, I'm thinking April (after Easter).

They're starting the dining option for DVC @ same time.

I'm wondering if it will be 1 or 2 TS? Hope they start it an hour before park opens ala CP.

I hope I can get this in July. I will even pay OOP as I don't think buffets are the best way to spend table service credits. Look at it this way--since our first trip in 2000, DS has had to sit through 2 Princess meals, one Pooh meal, and I don't know how many Mickey meals (the old Hollywood and Vine, Donald's at AK, Garden Grill, several Chef Mickey's). He will be 8 this trip and I will be ecstatic to take him to a testosterone-laden character meal before he is too old to appreciate it!

Did anyone stop to think that maybe the reason they have a scripted response is because they're getting calls about this rumour? It doesn't necessarily mean that they have information and are keeping it from you. What happens if this rumour is true but they decide that it's going to be other characters yet they've told all of these people that it's a go before it's actually official. Just because you read it on the internet doesn't mean it's true until it's on the official Disney website, and I think the websites that have "leaked" this information have stated that.

that's the thing....there's NOT a scripted response. My friend called yesterday & asked about this. That CM acknowledged that there WAS going to be a Buzz breakfast @ H&V beginning April 1, but didn't know when they will begin taking ADRs......

I guess I still don't see anything worth getting frustrated about. There has been no official announcement so ADR's aren't possible yet. Disney isn't responsible for changing their planned schedule because of internet gossip.

We have to make a distinction between the CM giving out facts or speculation. A CM may give out info (ie the rumoured new character meal) based on their speculation (or they read it on this board....). Another CM may not have this info (as it has not yet been given out by Disney).

I doubt any CM would deny knowledge of a new chararcter meal, if they knew anything about it. Even though we know it is probably true, until the info is official (and on Disney's computer system) not all CM's will know about it.

I would love to know if there is going to be one as well, but I would not be mad at the reservation people for not saying anything.

I have to agree with this. I am sure that as soon as it is announced that additional info about when to make ADR's will be included. As indicated before, Disney is not going to accept reservations until everyhting is put into place. If they couldn't meet that schedule it would be pretty disappointing to a lot of folks at the last minute.

I just got off the phone making dining plans for Mother's Day and had a really cool CM who spent forever with me talking and helping- the last thing I asked her was about the Toy Story Breakfast and she said Disney officially has no comment, but unoffically from her she said "Yes it's coming and to keep checking when they would allow ADR's to be made...she recommended call back weekly until I hear!"
We just have to be patient yet persistant and let everyone know when someone calls and hears "YES! What day are you looking for and what time would you like to dine?"
I am getting really excited!:)
