Has anyone got a memorable moment song?

I was on Itunes earlier and "Rhythm is a Dancer" by Snap! is back in the charts. The song really brings me back to when I was 10/11 and going to youth club discos with my friends.

It got me thinking - does anyone else have a song that brings them back to a certain point in their life?

Another one of mine would be "Tie me kangaroo down" by Rolf Harris as that was played constantly on the kids radio channel on my first flight to WDW.

I've got loads:

Get Down On It always reminds me of being in the Naafi 'Bop' in my younger days as my best friend always used to sing rude words to it

Tubthumpin' by Chumbawamba always reminds me and Gary of good times spent with our friend, Gareth, who sadly died from meningitis at a young age.

Donald Where's Your Troosers reminds me of an ex-boyfriend who came from the Isle of Skye - we always used to sing that song to him.

I love music so much because hearing different songs bring back so many memories, both happy and poignant

Oh I love threads like this and have loads of thoughts about it.

Cant listen to any Christmas Carol or song without crying as Christmas is such a depressing time for me

However on a brighter note:

Night Fever By the Bee Gees and Bye Bye Baby, by The Bay City Rollers reminds me of my younger days, when I was young free and single (just old, free and single now )

Need You Tonight by INXS reminds me of my exhusband, first song that he played in the car on our first date.

Dance Away by the amazing Bryan Ferry, always takes me back to a time of some of the happiest memories I have.

Loads more including 10cc, Prince, Big Audio Dynamite, and many others always make me smile

It's by LoneStar, Anna, and it's a goreous song. When DH and I renewed our vows, we had it playing when I walked into the wedding room - it makes my cry every time I hear it (in a good way)

Always On My Mind-Elvis Presley-My Dad was a huge fan+this was his favourite song,i also am a huge fan.

Dance With My Father Again-Luther Vandross-for obvious reasons-i always cry when i hear it-have a tear in my eye now.

Over The Rainbow-Eva Cassidy-I chose this song for my half-sisters funeral.

I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing-Aerosmith-Me+Dh first dance at our wedding reception.

Always+Forever-Luther Vandross-Me+Dh song.Also our 2nd song at our reception.

Murphy's Dancing Pig-Brendan Shine-Me+my Grandad alwys used to sing this song+do a funny dance do it when i was little.We still sing it now,on get togethers-especially St.Paddy's Day after about 5 guiness .(i was raised by my nan+grandad-and brought up on Irish music).

7 Drunken Nights-The Dubliners-Same As Above-Good old days with my Nan+Grandad-i cherish every moment with them.

Unsafe Building, The Alarm, Ian and I aged 16 to 20, probably saw them live about 30 times, we had so many good times, it also probably accounts for the fact that I am nearly deaf in one ear, I used to stand so near to the speakers.

Walk Forever By My Side, The Alarm, our wedding song.

Born Slippy, Underworld, Ians party piece, I can't hear it without laughing!

It only takes a minute girl by Take That-My friend and I used to take her cassette player to the top of the street and dance when we were about 8/9.

Sit Down by James- reminds me of going to keep fit with my mom when i was young.

Anything by Tom Petty- my Dad used to play his album in the car when i was little.

Fairytale of New York- Sitting in a traffic jam on the way to Gatwick a dark friday night the night before our xmas Disney vacation in 05.

Sex and the City Album- Singing along whilst coming back with my friends from Race for Life....i was soo happy that day and it was the day before my foot operation.

O Mio Babbino Caro - Maria Callas. Was on the CD player in the theatre when I had my youngest DD, and was played at my Dad's funeral.

Here are a few of mine:

Rawhide - Frankie Laine, this reminds me when I was a little girl and I used to make my dad sit in the bathroom on the floor and sing to me whilst I was in the bath.

99 Red Balloons by Nena, Hey Mickey by The Riplets & I like driving in my car by Madness - these remind me of my brother he used to play them over and over again all day every day!

Steel drums - Dh & I had them at our wedding in the Bahamas and we danced to them after our ceremony.

When you say nothing at all - Ronan Keating, my DH & I's first dance at our wedding reception.

Status Quo are another of mine - particularly Rocking all over the World and In the Army Now. My Dad loves the Quo and we always used to whack a cassette in, roll the sunroof back and belt them out on long car journeys

Well I'm going to show my age now!, when I was 11, I belonged to a troupe dance and we use to go to the Isle Of Man for the Championships, and my memory from that time has to be: Russ Abbott and What an atmosphere
