Has anyone from the UK ever stayed in a Club Level room?

I'm starting toe get really frustrated with how to go about making a reservation for a Club Level room at the Deluxe Resorts.

I don't know how many times i've looked on the WDW (international?) website in the booking online section & nothing ever comes up! BUT if i go to the booking online section on the US WDW website i've seen quite a few on the same date! :confused3

Me & my boyfriend are desperate to go in the near future & would love a Club Level room (like most would!) if there's one available, if not that's fine obviously.

Do you think making a ressie over the phone would be the easier option? What number do i ring?

Thanks! :flower3:

We stayed Grand Floridian club level last week. Made the reservation over the phone.

I don't think you'd save any money even if you could do it online through the UK site anyway.

CL is great. We are in the Boardwalk now without CL and really miss the lounge access. We'll definitely do it again, probably at AKL next time.

We did club level at AKL in 2009 and loved it. Very relaxing - we booked it after we had booked AKL as an add on. We booked our holiday with Open Ride (Disney UK)

We are booked to stay club level again in September at the Contemporary.

We book through Dreams Unlimited so it is a US booking however with the discount on offer when we booked it was cheaper than booking a MK view standard room in the UK.

We've stayed in a club room a number of times I always book on the US site (never the UK).

At the moment the US site has some special offers over the summer (I think about 30% off deluxe resorts) and availability is there for club level rooms.

I usually stay CL (I prefer the secure floor/key access area) and so far stayed at YC, BWI (it's my favourite so tend to stick with that one) and GF :goodvibes, most times I book through Disney US as they have the all the CL category rooms/resorts, this year I've booked BC CL through Disney UK as they were offering free dining, but Disney UK has a very small allocation of CL rooms and they do not offer all the resort CLs - they offer BC/YC/GF/Poly. As I've said my absolute favourite is the BWI CL but unfortunately Disney UK don't offer it :(

Disney US sometimes offer pretty good CL discounts and I'll probably change the second half of my booking (Poly) if a good CL discount came out by them, but I'm sticking with BC CL through Disney UK due to the free dining.

We stayed club level at the Polynesian in 2009. I got a discount code for 30% off from Mousesavers.com and phoned Disney US, and they were so helpful, tracking down the best club level rate at that time . The Concierge at the Poly was brilliant. I wish we could afford it all the time!

I was thinking that Disney UK don't have alot of CL rooms allocations (or that i just have bad luck!) so i'm relieved to know that that's actually the case.

So i think i will have a good look on the Disney US website, but isn't it confusing? I wouldn't know how the payments work etc.

Me & my boyfriend like the idea of the BC CL the most, but also CR & WL.

It is confusing lol

If you booked through Disney UK whether room only or package it's £50 per person deposit, which is non refundable, and if you change anything it's another £50, unless you're changing to a higher value, but through Disney US it's $200 (not sure if that's per person or package) for a package (i.e. room/tickets) and is fully refundable (up to a certain timeframe) and changeable at no extra cost. You can also book room only through Disney US, deposit being one night's room rate, the rest payable when you check in :)

Ahhhh, well that makes sense thank goodness! I will probs have to double check with my boyfriend though as he's better at that kinda thing.

Do you have any difficulties with your Bank etc booking through a US website? I've never done that before. :confused3

No problems with my bank at all :) It's really easy, go onto the Disney US website (check the special offers first in case anything is available for your dates) select your dates/resort and press the button :thumbsup2

If any discounts come out you can then call them and change your rate to a discounted rate, assuming the rate is available for the room category/room

Wicked! :thumbsup2

Thankyou for your help. :) :tink:

We've stayed concierge at the GF, AKL, and CR. We've booked all of them through either Dream unlimited or direct with dinsey US.
The contemporary is our favourite for concierge, we stayed on the 14th floor and just loved the exclusivity of it, I think they only have 4 rooms on that floor with the rest being suites, our room was right next to the lounge and it was like we were the only ones there.

I've stayed Club at the Poly, GF, AKL and Contemporary - booked once on Expedia (US) and the rest though US WDW. I wonder why the UK website never shows Club Level rooms - I've never seen any either. We loved it, even though it is a bit expensive!

What great about booking through US Disney is I find that they're more willing to apply discounts for you as they come up, so watch out for new discounts too. Last year I booked AKL Club at rack rate, when a 40% discount code for deluxe resorts came out, they allowed me to switch my reservation to the Contemporary Club Level. I got about $8 back

Oh lucky you! ;) Which CL hotel do you like the most?

& yeah it is a bit weird but also totally unfair on us Brits! :sad2: So unless you know to book via Disney US you can easily miss out if you can afford it.

What's the different between Deluxe & Standard then?

& yes i'll be sure to keep an eye on those discounts!

To be fair, most of them were on our wedding/honeymoon!!

You know, I couldn't choose! DH would say Contemporary without a doubt! I love the offerings at the Poly (think Kona apps), the fact that you can watch Wishes from the lounge, and that they have Lilikoi on tap! Contemporary offerings were a bit more upscale, like mini bites from Cali Grill, and the GF was just lovely because, well it's the GF! I love AKL anyway, it's just so homely and the CL CMs are lovely!

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! Yeah, you don't eat/drink the $$ you pay for it, but it's nice to relax and grab some snacks and drinks and just chill out!
