Yes, that is how I found out about mine on our last cruise. We booked Cat 9 and were upgraded to 6 with balcony. I got a call a few days later from DCL telling me about it but I already knew.

Hmmm.. I know they make an effort to contact you, because you need to change the room number on the luggage tags they have provided, and scribble out the bar code on same. (If you have already received cruise docs.)

Yep. Our 2nd cruise, we were upgraded, and I was checking our reservation and saw the number change (from 7502 to 7538). I think we got an email from DCL about 2 days later, and when our docs came, they had the new number on them as well. We booked about 50 days out for that cruise, were upgraded about 30 days before we sailed.

I know what you mean, we are really hoping that we get a magical upgrade for our 10th anniversary cruise (Oct. 22, '05)! We aren't holding our breath for one, and will be happy with whatever we get...we'll be at Disney! We spent our honeymoon at Disneyland Paris, so as long as we are at Disney for this special occasion, we'll be sitting on !!
