Has anyone flown Jetblue?

well just booked--LOVED being able to pick our seats already--got the emergency exit row! thanks so much for all the help

I flew them last year. I LOVED JetBlue. :goodvibes I can't imagine ever flying another airline again.

I was going to ask where (living in NJ) you're flying JetBlue from. I thought the closest airport was NY.

We try to only fly Spirit out of AC, haven't ventured to Philly airport yet, but try hard to stay away from Newark.

Good luck! That's a lot of savings!

I've flown Jetblue, and had no problems. Seats were comfortable (which is a LOT more than I can say about some other airlines), staff was friendly, flights were on time.

Flew them in May to Disney from Boston. No compaints here. Friednly, comfortable, punctual, cheap (pricewise).

If Southwest hadn't come out with the killer deals for next month, I'd fly JetBlue again.

Just wanted to say  neighbor!

Jet Blue has just started to fly out of Newark, or it will this September.

Several years back there was an airline (can't remember the name of them) that had a plane crash in the Everglades in FL. That airline then became JetBlue.

I know what airline you're talking about but I'm pretty sure it did not become Jet Blue.

Edited to add: It was Value Jet that crashed and then became Air Tran

Value Jet
Founded in 1993, Valujet first began service on October 26 of the same year. They first began flying from Atlanta, Georgia to Tampa, Florida. Twenty cities in the United States were added after just a year of flying with their fleet of DC-9-23's. Other types of aircraft (like the MD-80's or DC-9-20's) were being used after
the market for used DC-9-32's was exhausted. They also made an order with McDonnell Douglas for 50 new MD-95'.
Valujet was forced to slow the rapid expansion of their routs because of the Federal Aviation Administrations decision to keep a watchful eye on them, mainly because of maintenance problems they encountered earlier. Regardless of this, On May 11,1996 a Valujet DC-9 was lost. Even though the cause of the accident had not been found, Their operating license was withdrawn. In September of 1996, however, they were given permission to restart services on a restricted basis. Many of their aircraft's were sold or taken out of service during the grounding. A merger was agreed with AirTran Airways in July of 1997. at wich time Valujet begun using AirTran Airways name and colors.

Probably because they started around the same time. Jet blue was a new airline in 2000. Around the same time Air Tran came into exsistance.

I think you're right, this is not the first time I've heard that people have confused the two of them.

On a personal note, I know the head of HR for Jet Blue, he is a very people person really encourages happy employees. You can tell it the minute you meet the JetBlue staff. I think that is what makes Jet Blue a step above the rest.

The only "bad" think I can say about Jet Blue is that it does not participate in Magic Express with the checking of the luggage. I can't wait until the day it is included.

???? I have ME booked, and my flight is on Jet Blue, Disney did not say anything to me about my luggage not being able to be picked up. When will I learn this?

I have heard the owner of JetBlue is a real person. He created the airline to be opposite of everything he found was going downhill in the industry. Customer service is their NUMBER ONE priority, and did you know that the pilots will come back and help clean the cabins, and some managers have been known to vaccuum a cabin? Seems they treat their help well also.

David Neeleman, the owner, he has ADD. What a success story, I'd say! :teeth:

I am pretty sure Jet Blue is not one of the participating airlines. You can of cause use Magic Express to get to the hotel but you have to pick up your luggage from the luggage area and then give it to the bus driver. I would call Disney tomorrow and verify this with them.

We've flown them out of JFK a few times. Nice airline, fun people, TVs in the seats, a regular big jet...like a 757 I think...3 seats on either side of an aisle, so 6 seats total across.

I have no complaints.

so you mean i can still use magical express..we just cant leave our luggage--we have to take it with us?
thanks!

Yes, you can take the ME service to the hotel, but you'll have to pick up your luggage and hand it to the ME people yourself.

My family's first trip to Disney we flew Jet Blew out of Vermont. This was my DH and two DD's first time flying too :earseek: We loved it. They are wonderful and the TV's are neat. I booked it myself online and chose our seats. I wouldn't fly anything else ;)

Just to update all that are affected, JetBlue is NOW a full participant in the Disney Magical Express program. I called to modify my reservation with Disney a couple of weeks ago, and inquired about JetBlue and ME. She told me they just came onboard the beginning of July. :cool1:

Flown them out of JFK several times and they are great!!! We had no problem whatsoever.

I too recently heard about Jet Blue joining the ME program. Best news I've heard in a long time!
