Has anyone flown Frontier out of Trenton?

I found a pretty good deal flying out of Trenton via Frontier Airlines. I usually fly out of Philly & I'm pretty familiar with it, but I've never flown Frontier Airlines & I've never flown out of or into Trenton Mercer Airport. I have familiarized myself with Frontiers baggage fees & it still makes sense for me to book it.

So, does anyone have any experiences with Trenton Airport and/or Frontier Airlines? Good? Bad? Ugly?

Thanks!

Nevermind, I just read that Frontier isn't a participating airline with DME, so we will wait for Southwest to release rates...

well depending on the price of SW, it may indeed be cheaper to fly with Frontier and rent a car one way

I thought about that. We are traveling with friends of ours (all of us with small kids) & I'd like to keep things as simple as possible. Unfortunately, SW hasn't released their rates for our trip, but we're going to wait & book with SW when they do anyway. I'll continue to keep my eye out for any specials they run after we book in case we can get better rates.

As long as SW isn't over $300 R/T, we'll make it work. Otherwise, Frontier/Rental Car may be a consideration. Thanks!!

Only Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) is limited to a specific list of "participating" airlines.

ALL AIRLINES (including Frontier) serving Orlando International Airport can be used with DME inbound transportation, DME inbound luggage service, and DME outbound transportation. See Disney's Magical Express/RAC - What "Participating Airline" Really Means!

That being said, there are a number of reasons why I would gladly pay more for Southwest than Frontier. See Frontier Airlines -- Ultra-Low Cost has arrived.

Ya know, I was wondering about that. Thank you for that clarification. It seems my travel companions agree with you about Frontier, and since I have no experience with them, I will defer to those opinions. I think we'll still get a pretty good rate with SW though, and I'm pretty confident they'll run some kind of deal for that time of year.

Frontier is on the back burner for now until we see what SW is offering.

Thanks so much!!

I am using Frontier out of Wilmington DE, we got a really good deal and with paying luggage it was still cheaper then SW. Plus Wilmington you don't have to pay for parking and its the only airline that flys out of there so its really fast to fly in and out of Wilmington.
We also get to use DME, we just got our luggage tags. We just need to check in online right before we leave Disney which is fine.
Cant beat cheap airfare

We've never flown Frontier, but I have friends and family who flew out of Trenton and said it was a great experience. We'll definitely give it a try in the future. Fares can be enticing... though you do have to pay for luggage and flight times are limited. Good luck!
