Hi all! I need your help. our January trip will be the first time we will be bringing our little baby, our Pug, Ralphie to WDW with us.

We heard about the kennel that they have on Disney property, Pluto's (or something like that). However, we know nothing about it and are really nervous about leaving our baby there! As fellow pet owners, I'm sure you know how I feel. I'm hoping this kennel isn't like you just drop your dog off and they throw him in a cage for the whole week! For us, it would be the equivalent of giving your child to someone and finding out that someone locked them in a cage for a week, it's unthinkable.

Anyway, if anyone could help me out with some information on the kennel, some insight, good or bad experiences, recomendations? Anything would be a great help. Thank you so much! Also, we haven't book our reserviations yet. What hotels is the kennel near? Any hotels let you keep your pet in your room overnight?

Thanks again! I really really appreciate it! :pug:

I'm pretty sure the kennels at WDW are the kind where you just drop your pet off and they stay in a cage until you come to walk them. You should check out Deb's website www.allearnet.com and search for kennel to find out the details but I think that Fort Wilderness allows pets in some areas and they also have/had a kennel there as well. Depending on what you have around your home you may be able to find a better option there for a doggie b&b or a nice kennel. I've never travelled with my dog but WDW doesn't seem the most pet friendly.

I have 2 poms (my children by the way) :) and we take them to WDW every trip. We use the TTC (ticket and transportation kennel--and there is a dog house and Pluto model out front and it also houses the lost and found) and you do have to leave them in a cage and you can go walk them at any time. They require you to walk them at least 2x a day...but we even go after hours (just call security and they will let you in). They are clean, very friendly, and you can either feed your babies when you see them or leave food in their cage. You can also bathe them as well if needed. :paw:

They do not walk them or "tend" to them. That is your responsibilty. But it is a nice kennel. There is a grassy area around the building and some benches you can sit at with them.

I dont know about the kennels at Epcot, MGM, or FW...because the TTC kennels are at the "hub" with the boats, monorail, etc...

And, if you time it just right, you are your babies can watch the MK fireworks together! My one pom LOVES THE FIREWORKS...LOL

Good luck!
