Has anyone ever purchased tickets from ebay???

I did buy a tickey on ebay once, it was a 5 day tic with water park options, it had the 5 days, but they had used 2 water park options, but sold it as brand new never used. But I would buy on ebay from someone else who had good reputation, and if I was going right away and would be back in time to dispute with ebay if represented wrong. I also sold tickets on ebay--we bought tics from the Disney store, then i got a better deal to go with a package and didn't know I could get a 1 day ticket, so i sold them, I sent the receipt and everyhting with them, i paid cash, so it wasn't a problem. I only lost $10 in the process, I was actually surpised one person paid more for the ticket than I did...goof ball.

Something about it does seem illegal, even if the tickets have never been used (and still have that "new ticket" crispness ;) ).

Besides, I'm not sure I'd trust ANYONE who would sell their tickets to WALT DISNEY WORLD!! :rotfl:

Wow, I guess I have done something illegal by selling brand new tickets that couldn't be used so I could help out another family by having them pay less. I'm a criminal!!! Lock me up and throw away the key!!! Gosh, sometimes you guys just CRACK ME UP!!! :rotfl2:

So sorry to hear that a lot of people have been duped on Ebay. I find that most don't do their research when buying even the smallest things there. It's about being an educated consumer.

P.S. Want to perform a citizen's arrest? I'm right here in NJ! :rotfl:

We flew to WDW on July 28 2006 and on the flight we bought from MY Travel 2 adult and 1 child tickets to Busch Gardens the flight attendant told us not to open the plastic cases the tickets were in until we got to the park, we got there opened the cases and put the card into the machine, it accepted 1 adult card and the childs card but the other adult card would not read, so we took it to the info counter just by the gates and they told us it was 2years old and they would not accept it and we had to buy another ticket, hoping when we flew back we could get our money back from MY Travel we was told we had to contact the main office in writing which we did and still have not got our money back, so don't even trust the airlines to sell you park tickets.

Hang on..l'm in NJ too - I'll grab my badge! :thumbsup2

Actually, my post was meant to be read that it seems illeagal for anyone to willingly want to sell a ticket to Disney. It was a joke. I think I even put a wink in there, and referred to the beauty of a new ticket. I can't believe you thought I was attacking you!

However, I do think the people who are replying that this is not an approved practice, are those who feel that Dinsey does not condone the resale/transfer of already purchased tickets. But as previously posted, I think they are referring to partially used tickets.

Whatever the case, I truly do apologize if I offended you. That was not my intention, I should have posted more clearly what I meant. I am sure you are not a criminal. At least, in this instance. ;) (just a joke.....you seem to have a good sense of humor).

I think we can all agree the bottom line is, buying used park hoppers on ebay can be a very risky propositions. If you choose to do this do your research, but keep in mind that once you get to WDW, and find out the tkts. Are not what you expected, it will be too late :guilty: ...let the buyer beware :thumbsup2

I really was kidding, all tongue and cheek. I was not offended. I know I'm honest when it comes to selling anything on scary Ebay :teeth:

I sleep well at night! :goodvibes:

Highly not recommended by me.

Except for tickets as souvenirs to add to my scrapbook, I got via eBay some 1970's vintage tickets, the kind where you surrender a coupon at each ride.

Should the Fastpass format be changed, old Fastpasses, despite being labeled "not for sale" will be bought and sold as souvenirs after a few years.
