Has Anyone Ever NOT gone to Castaway Cay in May?

Hi All!
Well, we are officially doing the single digit dance for our upcoming Land & Sea vacation

We are going to be on the 3 day cruise that leaves 5/20 and I just checked the weather report for the Bahamas and they are predicting VERY WINDY conditions!!!!!!!

I have read in some posts here that if it is too windy and the sea is too rough, the ship will not be able to dock at Castaway Cay.

I didn't think that we would have to worry about rough seas in May...but maybe I was wrong????? Has anyone ever been on a May cruise that didn't dock at CC? Please please make me feel better about the weather

I guess I'll just have to keep hoping those weather folks are wrong!!!!!!!

Oh no! We'll be on that cruise too. I would be so disappointed if we didn't get to Castaway Cay. We had to cancel this cruise two days before we were to sail last summer because my father had to go to the hospital and wasn't expected to live. In fact, he passed away 3 days after we got home on the day we would have been at Castaway Cay.

Now let's calm down, that weather report is for 12 days from now and we know how those forecasts can change daily or even hourly.

It sure would be nice if others who have sailed in May could reassure us . . . PLEASE!

I agree with DonMil! Think positive and pray frequently for good weather. We are going to be on the cruise too! My DH, DS, DGD and myself.

I am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for your docking at Castaway Cay. That is one place on earth that no one should miss. May the seas be kind and gentle on your cruise.
