Currently booked at OKW Nov 27 -Dec 2. Really want to switch to BCV at 7 months but I am very concerned about cancelling the original then having the BCV gone before the cm can book it, especially since in order to cancel and free up the OKW points I would have to wait until 9 and call. Has anyone ever lost both reservations in the process and ended up with nothing? Are there any ways to avoid this pitfall ? Very concerned.

I have not lost a reservation that way but a number have reported doing so over the years including for the time of year you are looking for. Likely, you are not going to have the issue because i am guessing BCV is going to be mostly filled by the time you can reserve. However, if you want to be able to switch the reservations on line and lock in your new reservation before cancelling your old one, go here and see my post spelling out Supersnoop's brilliant procedure for doing so: http://www.disboards.com/threads/ma...the-process-can-you-go-ahead-of-time.3461485/

I would try the 2 browser plan except that to complicate matters I will be traveling and operating from a hotel room on my iPad .Really would like to hear tips from folks who have pulled this off. Thanks !

MS lost a reservation for me years ago, however they put me on a preferred waitlist and I did get it back.

Go to the app store and download Google Chrome. Should work fine. Just double press the menu button to easily swap between Chrome and Safari.

I had member services handle it for me. Called right at the 7-month window. We asked about booking one extra day beyond what we had booked at our home resort at 11 months. Apparently, MS could see that the extra day we were looking for at non-home resort was going fast so we had them grab it up. I think there are benefits in having MS do the switch for you....although not guaranteed there won't be an issue.
