has anyone ever gotten a "ding" at x-mas time?

i'm new to this flight stuff, we usually drive. i can't believe how much the prices soar over x-mas. i've seen flights for dec 16th that were pretty good, but for the return on dec 30!!! holy cow! not good!

have you ever gotten or seen a DING for flights just before and/or just after x-mas?

are dings a last minute deal, or do they come farther out?

I honestly can't remember what the Dings were like last year at Christmas time...but I will let you know that Dings for a particular time are usually given a few weeks to a couple of months in advance. Right now the Dings are going through September 30th.

yes!! last dec. we received a ding from indianapolis to orlando for 3 ppl for $543 from Dec 16th-Dec. 23rd, i think it came our right around the end of October....
