Has anyone ever gone to one of these AP events...

I'm going to the AP event tomorrow night and wonder what to expect. Anyone have any insights?

We went to one last summer. It started at 8pm and I'm not sure exactly what time we lined up to check in but I remember the line was loooooong. Moved quickly though. It was at DCA, they had all the regular characters dressed up in swim suits and then some rarely seen characters out (dont ask which ones I don't rememebr!).
Lines were short for most rides. We walked on monsters inc, tower of terror and RSR was about a 30 minute wait. They had the lake/WOC all lit up and the water shooting up, it was really pretty. It was a really cool environment but I was disappointed in how many people they let in. I was really hoping for a more "intimate" event. Also, my daughter crapped out fairly early so I didn't get to experience the full night.
I would do it again......Im going to the Indiana Jones AP event in March.
I have a feeling this one will be very crowded as they are still allowing people to register and it's only in one area.

I'd love to hear from someone who want to the AP event a few months at Disneyland around Xmas time.

Unable to go but according to Instagram/Twitter, this event is for the "Royal Celebration" as a promo for Cinderella. Has meet and greets of royal couples and villains. So far no one is complaining about crowds. Pretty empty/clear.

Have a great time! Hope to hear more detailed accounts on this and next week's event. We'd have to make arrangements with work in order to attend. (Leave early to beat traffic). Wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle.

My son (4 yrs old) and I attended last night and has a great time!
Lines for rides were really short and we were able to get in everything we wanted - some a few times.
We saw from afar many great characters for the meet and greets (lines for them were super long and it isn't really our thing).
And, we were able to get a great spot to watch Fantasmic about 10 minutes before the show started
