Has anyone ever given Disney stock as a gift?

I'm thinking of giving a share of Disney stock to each of my nephews for their baptism. Has anyone done this? They are minors, so do I buy it in my name or their parent's name?

Also, where is the best place to buy it (cheapest S&H, frames, etc.)?

My DW bought me a share for my birthday. She got it from oneshare.com. It came in a real nice frame. I don't know how much $$ it was though.

Grandpa has been buying the kids' Disney stock for a few years. He set up an account for each of them through H & R Block. He did need all their info like soc #'s and that. It's set up with me as custodian and the kids' names under it.

We gave our 2 youngest each a share of Disney last year for their Birthdays(they were 7 and 8 years old )---they absolutely loved it! We bought our shares from oneshare.com, the first share we bought from we didn't buy the frame---big regrets on this! The second one we got the frame and it is gorgeous! On both we got the engraved plague.
Believe me, it has been a gift they have shown to everyone and it has gone to "show n' tell" several times.

We did it as a Christening gift.....the parents ended up selling it as the paperwork it generated from the brokerage company we bought it from was ridiculous....

I have never done it again.

I have given it to myself, and my nephew. I did get it through one share and it was quick and the frame (which I now wish I had gotten for myself also) was worth it. I haven't had any other paperwork to deal with other than the initial social security info stuff, but that was painless also. I would do it again.

This is so true...a lot of paper work from Walt Disney Company except we only get it with the one we had framed. We received only one piece of paperwork for the other share
It is so cool to get the annual shareholder's report as well
