I have taken these handy pins with me on my last 2 trips. They were perfect. I have handed out 4 of them.
1) I gave the first one to our Epcot tour guide, Melanie, who made numerous phone calls to find the answers to guest's questions that she didn't know "off the top of her head." She even left a message at our resort with an an answer that she couldn't get before our tour was over!
2) The second one I gave to our bus driver, Phil, who gave us a direct trip from PO-FQ to the AKL for breakfast. He actually was just suppose to go to the AK park. But we were the only passengers on the bus so he surprised us by taking us straight to the AKL and eliminating our need to transfer at the AK park. We didn't realize what this sneaky man was doing until he pulled up at the resort!
3) The 3rd and 4th pins I gave to 2 very thorough CMs at the CBR. The CBR front desk had sent through charges on my debit card that were not suppose to be sent. It was the 2nd day of my 11 day vacation and my bank account was overdrawn - REALLY overdrawn. Imagine my panic. They both spent a great deal of time on the phone with me and my bank to get it fixed and fixed quickly. They also took complete responsibility for the error. One of the CMs truly said "This is MY fault. I am so sorry." (That's why I didn't list their names because I wouldn't want to embarrass her in an open forum.) How refreshing to have someone accept personal blame for a problem.
I always make sure that I tell the recipient that these pins were created to recognize those CMs that exemplify the type of service and treatment that Walt would have endorsed and I thank them for continuing the tradition. I also remind them that it's the magic moments created by their quick thinking and thoughtful "extras" that keep me coming back time and time again!
