Has anyone ever eaten at Tony's at the Magic Kingdom?

I just called today, to have my mom and I eat there. Neither one of us has eaten there before, so I am just wondering about how it is?

We both love pasta dishes, so that's kind of why I picked it and the other reason is to try a new place to eat at!

Thanks in advance!

I would urge you to find another place to get your pasta fix...worst meal our entire trip.....downright inedible [I still haven't figured out how you screw up pasta, but they managed :confused3 ]

Haven't eaten at Tony's for several years, but the reviews are not so good. I really wish they would improve thier menu/food as it is a great location with a really cute theme- has the potential to be a hit if the food was good.

Add us to the list that thinks the food is just Ok. We had dinner there a few years back & loved the atmosphere much more than the food. Decided to try lunch this time since we had the DxDP. DS had the special panini of the day which was ok. I had the pasta primavera and didn't care for it. I like artichokes but they were overpowering in the dish to me. Our soup was lukewarm and our server was very abrupt, almost rude. I don't think we will go back.

um, LTT is not a better choice... it is basically stoffers frozen diner food at inflated cost. For a sit down in MK, Crystal palace or Plaza are gonna get ya the best bang for the buck.

I HAD to go to Tony's EVERY time I was in Disney for the longest time. I LIKE their food and have not ever had a bad waiter.

Recently I discovered LTT and have been going there the last few times.

We have an ADR at Tony's for this time, tho.

At lunch it was very easy to walk in for a table, not sure if this is still true.

At dinner, you had better have an ADR....it seems to be crowded.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

We ate their last summer. We were in the MK and it was supposed to be a CS night but decided last minute to try and get a ressie and Tony's was available. I don't remember our exact meal but I do know my daughters loved the decor and our meal was fine. We had steaks though, not pasta. We also had excellent service in a nice and relaxed atmosphere. I have never eaten at LTT but just the fact that Stouffers mac & cheese is a featured dish is enough to turn me off:lmao:.

Just had some clients call me and say that Tony's was fine. They enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere.

We like Tony's a lot (never had a bad meal there) and we strongly dislike Olive Garden and Carrabbas. This past time we went for lunch and we both had the panini of the day (grilled chicken, sun dried tomato marinade, mozzarella cheese, and bacon) with parmesan crusted potato chips. It was delicious! We also got the fresh mozzarella appetizer and the ice cream bomb for dessert. We got a free sundae for our anniversary as well. It was truly enjoyable. We go to Tony's every trip.

You can't eat atmosphere.:confused3

Some people say you can't eat the food:lmao:

But it definitely costs more to eat the same food in a nice place as it does anywhere else. My kids eat the same chicken fingers at the TS places that they serve at the CS ones, not the same price though....

Hi
We ate here in August for lunch. It was terrible!! As soon as we walked in, I could smell a wierd garlic like smell, and I thought that this isn't going to be good. But we tried it and the best thing was the dessert. My DD and I split the eggplant dish, (yuck) and my DGD had spaghetti, and only ate a few bites of it. My DGD and I split a dessert, and that was pretty good. The service was ok. We've never eaten there, and wanted to try it. Once was enough. We won't go back!!

Well that's you. I think it is a much better choice, I have eaten there once before and I loved it! Just cause it is stoffers does not mean it is bad. Have you even ever eaten there before?

I had a bad experience at the Crystal palace, so I really don't ever care to eat there again. But that's just me.

One thing that I learned on this board is you have to try places for yourself!
I just came back from my first trip to WDW Sept 4-10th and yes I bounced back:cool1: but I learned so much from this board and I read all these reviews, and I had to try the places that I wanted to go regardless of what others said, which I was lead and happy with pretty much everything, but we must take in consideration that people have different taste buds and people have there own opinions, like Coral Reef for instance I had heard so many mixed reviews of this place, but I went for myself and I loved it I thought that the steak was equally as good in flavor as LeCelliar the quality was a bit better at Lecelliar as well as the size was bigger but Coral Reef was great, also Boma got great reviews but for me the dinner did not live up to the hype, then there was 1900 park fare dinner that did not have the best reviews but I loved this dinner,so this is to say! what may be GOOD to YOU !may NOT BE GOOD! to the next and vice versa,so I encourage everyone to read the reviews and take it in consideration but the ONLY WAY that you will know if you and your family will like a place is to GO 4 YOURSELF I THINK EVERYONE CAN AGREE ON THAT!

Absolutely. I agree

And if you look back on these posts..my rough analysis Maybe someone should post a poll???

12 out of 53 said it was just okay/mediocre
13 out of 53 thought it was good
11 out of 53 thought it was bad
17 out of 53 didn't specify

I know our family doesn't always go with the majority when it comes to Disney restaurants. We are semi-vegetarian (no pork, beef, etc.) Also like good buffets with a range of foods & fruits and veggies available.

I loved one of the flatbreads at Tony's. Kids were happy with pizza meals. DH and other family members liked their dishes too.

We love Tony's, Crystal Palace, The Plaza & Chef Mickey

Garden Grill at Epcot: food was just okay, surroundings great

Hollywood & Vine is pretty good. We've done the character meal and the reg. buffet.

Sci Fi Drive-in: neat atmosphere; food pretty bad. I don't think we'll return there.

We ate at Tony's during our trip Aug 29-Sept 7
The food was good, but our server was more interested in her union based tip than in serving us.
She actually made a show of counting down the order of the people at opur table when someone asked to add something to their order.
She really didn't want to have to add anything, and it showed.
We've eaten at Tony's every year for the past 4 years, and this was the first bad experience we ever had with the service.
