Okay I get off work at 3:00 P.M. and my dad is picking me up and he is going to drive up to DisneyWorld and we will get to Mgm at about 6:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. and we will go on some rides and stuff and then at 9:00 p.m. we will go to the Fantasmic show and after the Fantasmic show is over we will come back home Anyways I want to know if anyone else has ever done something like this he he >

I am envious that you can! If I chose to do that it would take 24 hours just to get to Orlando!

We have, but usually we will go for the whole day if we are going to a park. We have done MANY short visits to DTD though. It's one of the advantages of living so close.

All the time! I've shown up right at 8, gone to the Fantasmic theater and eaten a hot dog while waiting for the show to start. Seen the show at 9, and then gone home.

Why not do it if you can?

I have driven up on a Fri, after work and school, and back on a Sunday by 10:30 pm, but thats my shortest (Ive actually done that about 5 times )

You lucky duck! I wish we could do that- we have a 9 hour drive to get to WDW. The shortest trip we've done is a long weekend, and that was rushed.

I grew up in Atlanta, GA, and we had season passes to Six Flags every year. Many summer evenings, we would eat dinner, head to the park, ride 2 or 3 of our favorite rides, and watch the fireworks before heading back home. Good times! It would have been even better if it was WDW and not Six Flags we got to head to!

Ugh, I hate the 3 hour drive up to Orlando... wouldn't catch me dead going up just for a few hours and driving back. But if you don't mind the drive then go for it and have a great time.

But here is my crazy start to my trip. I wont get home from work until 12:30 am. Then do last minute packing, check check list, make sure everything is ready for house/dog sitter. Everyone is meeting at our house at 2:30 am and the limo arrives at 3:30 am. Our plane leaves at 6 am (hopefully sleep a little on the plane) and we arrive in Orlando at 10:45 am. Then check in and off to a full day at MK.

Yes I was in the Magic Kingdom on that date. Was it raining when you saw me, because there is an interesting story that I have not told you all


Well I just got back and I better get to bed. I am not feeling well so I need to get some sleep.

We do it all the time, however we are only 30 mins away.

We are doing it tomorrow, we will leave here about 3ish, go to MK, rides some rides, eat dinner, see the fireworks /parade and come home

Then on Friday we are going to Blizzard Beach

No, it wasn't raining... I don't think. I was standing outside of the Ice cream parlor and Wishes was going on. You were walking to Tomorrowland very fast lol. I just got a glimpse and I was like "I know that guy from the DIS" I was telling my dbf and he thought I was nuts lol.
