Has anyone ever called to see if there is a code

I read somewhere of people calling to see if there is a code "attached" to their name? Has anyone ever done this? Have you ever been successful? I once got a postcard and we were thrilled!! It was years ago and we have not heard from Disney since. I was wondering if this works. If there was a code attached to your name wouldnt you get and email or a postcard??? Just curious about this. I would love a great price on a hotel for this summer.......

I have read that too on other threads but when i called about a month ago, the cm said you would get an email if that was the case. when i persisted more asking him to please check, he said he couldn't access the info! i'm sure it just depends on which cm you get-some are more helpful than others. i would call and see....it can't hurt!

I will wait unitl I have an afternnoon to call when I can chat with the CM. I will try to call in the afternoon so it is not as busy for them...I bet they are busy all the time though....

It worked for me once. It was last year for May 2005 and I had the code, but not the pin (from someone here on the DIS) The CM did say I had the pin actached to my name and I was able to use it. I never got the email about it (or post card.) We never would of taken that trip if it wasn't for the code (it was an extra we were just there in March)

However tried I tried it again this year, no such luck. They are stingyer with the codes this year it seems. Glad we are DVC. Disncounts are getting hard to come by.

So I need a code and a pin...yikes. I think we will just book now and cross our fingers that there may be a good AP rate or AAA or a code and pin for the dates we have to go .

Yes, I called last year and had a code attached to my maiden name. I had never received an e-mail or postcard. I asked the CM to give me the PIN code (just in case there were problems at check-in). Now when I call for reservations, I make sure to ask them to check both my maiden name and my married name for a PIN. It's worth asking about.

in my DD's name...she is 14. Once we got a postcard with DS's name...he is 16. I have no idea how they are getting the names as WE are paying the bills not the kids! I am wondering if they get them off Disney pages..the Playhouse Disney ones??? Any ideas?

Yes.........It has happened to me twice now. i always ask if there is anything next to my name before I book.
