Has anyone ever been called by Gallop polls?

I was out this evening and I got a call (on my caller ID) from Gallop polls. I then checked my answering machine and there was a message. But all I heard was someone sneezing, something I couldn't make out, a little giggling and the someone said they would call back.


Not very professional IMO.

They have always been very professional. I'd bet you have a "friend" who is playing a little joke on you.

Not by Gallop polls, but I did get one from Simmons. They actually sent me $10 just for talking to them on the phone (not very long, either) and agreeing to fill out their survey they mail out. DH and I got $5 with the survey, and DD and DS got $4. When we sent back the surveys........DH and I got an additional $20, and the kids each got $10. Not bad, except the surveys took a few days,

I was called once. They asked if I was willing to do a survey online. They sent money--$10 I think--along with a username and password. It was about internet usage. It was fun, but then I actually look forward filling out census and get disappointed when we get only the short form.

I've got a call in the last month but I was too busy to answer their questions. They were very professional though.
