Has anyone else got "Notice Of Advance Payment" letter?

It came in today's mail:

We are pleased to inform you that the U.S. Congress has passed and Pres. G.W. Bush has signed into law the Jobs and Growth Tax Reconciliation Act of 2003. This new law provides broad-based tax relief, including a $400 increase in the child tax credit for 2003 for each eligible child born after December 31, 1986.

Within two weeks of receiving this notice, you will receive a check. Your advance payment is $800.00, based on the number of children shown on your 2002 tax return (2) that were born after December 31, 1986. This amount is based on information you submitted on your 2002 federal tax return.

I dont have any kids...so I wont be getting that letter....HMMMM, wonder if I can claim my dogs and cats...HMMM

Haven't received the letter. According to the schedule our check should be mailed next week.

We havent rec'd a letter and our refud should be in the first batch thanks to dh SS#. If it went by mine we would have to wait.

We don't qualify, but I'm glad the letters are being mailed out and that some people are getting some of their hard earned money back!

We'll benefit from the tax cut in others ways, just not this particular part.

If these are the letters I heard about a few weeks ago they are actually sent by your local Congress person. So perhaps if your Congress person is a democrat they are not sending letters.

I am in the group that got practically nothing out of this tax cut so I don't think that my Congress woman will send me a letter to point that out!

If they use DH's SS#,our check should be mailed TOMORROW!
DD was born in 1993,but the $400 will be used for DS,born 1984,as he moves to his 1st off campus apt. Gosh,folks,the 19 year old is a HECK of a lot more high maintenance than the 10 year old!!!

Seing my children are all grown with children of their own. No advance payment notice. The only notices I ever get from the government is you owe us.

I got the advance payment letter today (Saturday), oh wait I also got the check today!!!

Nope, we haven't gotten a letter. If we get a check, we'll be in the 2nd batch of checks.

We got the letter today, but no check. Ours should have been mailed yesterday, the 25th. Hopefully we'll get it on Monday!
