Hi
I was wondering if anyone had eaten here lately?
I just had a look at the menu and it seems quite nice. We've always overlooked it before - too many other places to choose from! I'd love to hear some feedback
Also I was wondering if someone could possibly take a pic of the menu for me when they are strolling through the village? I looked at the menu on dlrpmagic but I dont know how up to date it is.
Thanks
Kiz

Here's the menu from June 2011

thanks to DCP :goodvibes

I'll have a go at taking it next week if it's changed but I never think of going there to look as we had a terrible meal and said we would never go back :sad2:

But it was a few years ago so it might have improved now...they do nice beer there though, well worth going when it's happy hour :)

We ate here in June 2009 - so not recently. Our meal was very nice, and the surroundings are lovely! Debating this as a back-up, as DD will think she is a Princess here!

Thanks so much for your replies.
Thanks so much Carrie. Can I ask what wasn't nice?

I have eat for Halloween 2011 for lunch and the food and CM are very nice:thumbsup2

We went for dinner. It was chaotic, way too long waiting to order, getting anything, the tables weren't clean. When the food came it was not hot but luke warm etc etc.

They weren't even busy so you couldn't blame it on that.

I just think that lifes too short to try a restaurant again when I've had a bad meal and the restaurant couldn't care less

Hopefully for others they've improved but when I look at the recent pictures of food over there it doesn't inspire me anyway :goodvibes

I ate here in 2010 and thought it was awful. Food didn't taste good, my mum who's a cook and pretty much eats anything thought it was terrible. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant and it took forever for us to get our meals.

It may have improved but for me I won't ever risk it again.

We've been considering eating here but there don't seem to be many positive reviews. I don't want to waste money on a meal that might not be nice/hot even though we'd all like the food so I think we're going to try somewhere else.

We ate here a couple of years ago and thought the price was pretty good and we enjoyed the food we had - wasn't outstanding by any means but fine for the price. The theming was quite good too and as other posters have said - the beer was good! What let it down for us was the service - it was just so slow. I hate sitting for ages with dirty plates infront of you when you've been there so long you just want to leave! Also I seem to remember everyone was quite crammed into the place ie the tables were very close to one another...

Hello :goodvibes

I took some photos of the menu for you on Saturday and put them on the restaurant review thread :thumbsup2

Thanks so much Carrie, just going to have a look. Yet again, come to Ireland and let me repay you with tons of info!

This describes our experience of a good few years ago. Disappointing that it has not improved :confused3

So, mixed reviews on the food... more importantly... do they still have happy hour???

:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

I think we may just try it for a change of tastes. Its the only restaurant of its type so maybe it is worth a try.

Happy hour is still running AFAIK :thumbsup2
