We were wanting to head to the Boardwalk one day & my wife & I LOVE microbrew. We were wondering if anyone has eaten there? The menu looks better than the Flying Fish to us so thought we might give it a go.
Think you mean Big River Grille & Brewing . . . We've been there a couple of times, most recently in October '07. The food is pretty good as is the beer. It really depends what you're looking for. If you want a burger, barbecue, sandwich or salad, it's a good place to eat.
If, on the other hand you want very good seafood then FF would be a fine option. We happen to be a big fan of FF so would normally recommend that as the best meal on the Boardwalk. If the menu doesn't appeal to you then hit Big River . . . I do think the food quality is better at FF though.
To me, food is okay. Nothing special. About as average as it comes. For me, the draw is the beer. I love getting the beer sampler, sit outside, and watch the people. Great way to kill an hour or so and rest up!

My father and I ate there October 2007 and we enjoyed our food and the service. We had the grilled meatloaf and I had the beer sampler. Great experience. My girlfriend and I are going to eat there during our upcoming trip in two weeks.
If all you are interested in is the beer, then go for just that. But don't expect anything from the food offerings. And don't expect good service either.
We had dinner at the bar last year and were happy. I had a chicken dish and my husband had a burger. And of course we enjoyed a couple of beers.
It's kind of sterile decor, so if you are looking for a romantic dinner, then it might not be the best place, but if you are looking for an easy going meal, maybe a last minute decision, then I think it's great. Oh, I thought the prices were very decent for Disney.
Yeah....we were just wanting a leisurely lunch there since we have reservations that night at CInderella's Royal Table. Maybe a salad or sandwich....a few beers......nothing major. We just like to frequent microbreweries in our travels and collect pint glasses for our bar from the various breweries.
If you want a basic meal with some beer, it's an okay place. Chili's has more atmosphere than it does and I didn't think the beer was good at all but it's worth a try if you're wandering by. That's the only reason why we tried it. It was there and took immediate seating at the time.
