When I pulled up a driving route at mapquest.com it only added 30 minutes to the trip. So I think I'll get trip tiks for both ways.
Is there any constuction on 57 or 24 now, or on 75 or 65 for that matter? When they do the Trip tiks they seem to like to stamp wherever they like![]()
The only construction I'm aware of on I-65 is through downtown Indianapolis. 'Hyperfix' has what we call the 'North and South splits' restricted and the 'InnerLoop' CLOSED. Your best best (which is also posted everywhere on the interstate) is to take I-65 to 465 south. Stay on 465 south (which turns into 465 E on the SW side) to I-65.
There is ALOT of traffic on 465 due to Hyperfix. Both I-70 and I-65 use the InnerLoop forcing all traffic onto 465 (Indys LOOP).
Oh...don't take I-65 S to 865 E unless you like crawling in traffic. 865 E connects to 465 E on the north side and eventually the NE side which is a complete horror throughout any day (including weekends).
Of course coming for Chicagoland, I would think Indy is a walk through the park
Good luck no matter which way you go.
