Hi everyone,
This question is about flying stand-by. We are going to Orlando May 5th-11th and flying stand-by with Horizon/Alaskan Airlines. You are probably thinking would we do a big trip on stand-by?:confused3 ...well my DH won the tickets and this is where we decided we'd go. First trip to WD and US/IOA btw. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and how was your experience. We have to call next week and get on the "list" so I hope everything turns out ok. We are flying from BC to Seattle ...then to Orlando. thx in advance for anyone who replies. :thumbsup2

I don't have the courage to fly stand by..but heck I see it done on The Amazing Race all the time!

Kids are staying home....( we took them to DL in 2000) they are 16,19 and Grampa will be staying with them a few days after we leave. Because we got the "free" tickets we decided just to do this trip oursleves. ( An early Anniversary gift May 31/21 yrs!)

Found out through a friend about the flight loads and availability and it looks like we shouldn't have any trouble getting on....hopefully!

If you are doing it without kids ...no worries. Even if you were they are old enough to handle delays. Congrats on the free tickets and have a great holiday!
