I'm hoping to do it next year when i go to Disney World with my sister, but I want to know more about what to expect.
I've read a few things online, but it's not as much information as I had hoped.

Can't really answer the poll since I've never done the Wild Africa Trek, but I wanted to say that I REALLY want to do this, ever since I saw it's little segment on Stacey's Must Do Disney! It looks like an awesome experience.

Hey!

There are a LOT of factors that go into choosing this experience. First, if you want to do this experience, make sure you and everyone in your party is:

-In good health at the time of the trek
-Comfortable with walking for a L O N G time (3 hours feel like longer than you think on this trip!)
-Not allergic to any of the wildlife!
-Comfortable with being in an environment that puts you face-to-face with a large assortment of wild animals. Make sure everyone going knows that they'll be walking across a shaky bridge danging 10 feet over crocodiles.

If all your whole party fits into all of those categories, I answered yes to this question. While I can't give you a first-hand experience story, from the previous testimonials I've heard, it's an incredible tour for animal and nature lovers. Hope I helped :)

My husband and I went on this trek when they first started them. There is some walking but most of it is in the jeep or standing in the "Boma" in the middle of the savanna. The only animals you get really close to are the hippos. Yes you do walk over a shaky bridge with crocodiles underneath, they are not that close to you. They ride through the same savanna as the Kilimanjaro safari, you might get a little closer to the animals and it does last longer. There are binoculars available in the jeep and in the Boma. We did have fun but I really did not think it was worth the money. If you go to trip adviser it does get 4.5 star but if you read comments even from the people that give it 4 stars quite a few say they were disappointed with the ride through the savanna and the animal "interaction".
