Has anyone done the Little Ones Magic Hour at MK yet?

I've seen a couple of these now and I'm still amazed at how few people seem to know of them. I think that's what makes it special, I mean, how often do you see Alice and the Hatter wandering around looking for someone to talk to?

The games that they play with the children are very simple; catch, hide and seek, catching shadows, pattycake, ring around the rosie, daisy daisy minnie, etcetera.

We were also there on friday, 9/1 and had a great time. A cm told me that they are discouraging autographs/personal photos during the little ones magic hour because they want to focus more on the characters interacting/playing with the kids. My dd's played hide & seek and catch w/pooh and friends at the playground, played ring around the rosie w/snow white - played "simon says" w/mickey, minnie, daisey, peter pan & wendy. Stitch was riding dumbo, chip & dale and goofy were riding the carousel. The characters were also interacting w/the adults, pluto snuck up on my husband and let his "wiskers" touch the back of dh's neck and dh jumped back and thought it was bugs or something - too funny. Also, captain hook was trying to "get" mickey and dh was standing in the middle protecting mickey. It really felt like you were at a private even with the characters in a non-rushed, relaxed, fun setting. I am so glad I got everyone up so early to go!!

We also just returned from WDW yesterday and participated in two of the Magical Beginnings mornings at Fantasyland. Amazing! The photos we have of our two children are priceless! Playing duck, duck, goose with Mickey and Minnie, riding the carousel with Chip and Dale, playing hide and seek with Peter Pan, Hook and Wendy...... There were no waits on any rides and the character interaction was great! On Friday we were let in the front gates at 7:45 and waited in Cinderella's castle until Alice and the Mad Hatter let us all in to FL. My kids (5 and 4) woke up Tinkerbell and then played for an hour all over FL! My niece and nephews are 9,8 and 4, and they loved riding Peter Pan's Flight with Peter Pan and Dumbo with Stitch, so that age is great, too! It was tough getting the kids moving early enough to catch the bus, but it was so worth it!
As to the question about photo ops with characters..... The cast members with the characters do not allow autographs, but we were able to get several photos in between games. The exceptions were Captain Hook and Peter Pan. They were running all over most of the time playing hide and seek or shadow tag and wouldn't stop for photos. It was so much fun to have some candid shots of my kids playing with everyone! We took over 1000 photos, so I haven't even seen them all yet!
Those 2 mornings from 8-9am were worth the 2 years that went into the planning of the trip! We really lucked out because the crowds were so minimal and we very rarely waited more than a few minutes for a ride. When we walked into MGM, we were told that we could walk right into the Wiggles show! They couldn't give away all of the tickets for all 3 shows and there were empty seats! I couldn't believe it after reading of the chaos for the Doodlebops shows! I guess we are lucky to be from NY - no school until after Labor Day!

We were there in the middle of August and had the same experience. Low crowds, very small lines on any ride. TONS of charater interaction. My oldest DD (5), played duck, duck, goose with Mickey, and got lucky twice....... When we went to ride Dumbo, Stich was in the seat in front of us and the CM with Stich asked my DD if she wanted to ride with Stich, which of course she did, and never stopped smilling. Then later as my DD was in line to ride the carousel, Goofy takes her by the hand, lets her pick a horse, then rides the horse next to her! I think it's a great idea to have so many characters out with the sole purpose of playing and "being" with the little ones. It's nice to see the focus on the small kids and them being able to really be involved with the characters for a good while instead of waiting in a long line to take a couple of quick photos and move on to the next line. Disney gets a big thumbs up from us, or as my DD put it......" That was REALLY cool!!" :)

Looking for any new reports!!! Especially as it is getting closer to our trip! :cool1:

This sounds so wonderful! As hard as it will be to be up and out that early (we're on Central time), it sounds as if it will be worth it.

Less than two weeks. I can't wait!!

We went on 8/30 and 9/3. There hardly any crowds (8/30 was Ernesto day thought) and we walked on a bunch of rides. Pooh and Eeyore were playing ball one day, playing red light, green light another day in the Pooh playground. Mickey, Pluto and Goofy were playing pass the ball one day too. One day Snow White and Dopey were playing if you're happy and you know with the children. I honestly didn't realize if guests without kids were there or not but it didn't seem to matter. Saw Chip and Dale and Goofy riding the carosel, Stitch riding Dumbo and Alice and the Mad Hatter the teacups. My DD got her picture taken with Alice and the Mad Hatter and then we saw them later in the day in Toontown and they remembered her! She is 3, and I think she was little young for some of the activities, playing pass the ball was one and the kids kept skipping over her since she wasn't looking and she didn't know how to do red light green light. She loved singing with Snow White though. They weren't doing posed pictures and autographs but I saw characters doing them if there weren't many people around them.
