Wife wanted to know what this is like and is it worth it. do you get any massage with it or is that separate?

My sister did this one. No, no massage, she had probes stuck to her "problem areas" along with some lotions, and was left in a dimly lit room to experience the tiny little jolts of electricity. lol :scared1:

She did have some reduction in size (they measure before & after), and said the lotions were nice. I think she bought a bit of product as that is what they "prescribe" for you!! Then she found some more on ebay, lol, but sort of regretted it.

Maybe someone else had a better experience. Personally, I'd get the massage.

I did this one year and noticed that when they first measure you that they're holding the tape a little slack so that when they remeasure you the tape is held tighter so that it makes it seem like you lost a lot of inches. I also thought that this was the whole body when in fact it was only half body (you choose upper or lower), it was overpriced in my opinion (I've had similiar where I live and it's cheaper for the whole body). Don't know if this had anything to do with it but afterwards the next 3 days I was really sick, I don't know if it brought out the toxins in my body which made me sick or if I already had a bug in me and by doing this it brought it out. Personally, I wouldn't do it again, not worth the money spent.

I haven't done this particular thing, but I have other things that bring out the toxins and have been sick as a dog!. Probably wasn't a bug. Hope you didn't do it at the start of your trip!

I was the "model" aka guinea pig for this on a Princess cruise during the spa open house. I neither saw nor felt any difference and in my opinion it would be a huge waste of money. You could probably release just as many toxins by getting a nice massage and drinking water.

High pressure sales too, before they let you get dressed. Hated every minute of it. The electric shocks are very uncomfortable. I have much better success by eating fresh food and whole grains.

thanks for all the replies, she is taking your advice and getting the massage instead! she didnt know there would be electrical things going on......either did I!

My 25-year-old daughter was going to do this on a recent Princess cruise. However, because she has a metal rod in her leg (after breaking her leg and having surgery), the spa staff didn't think it would be a good idea for her to have the procedure. I'm glad, because it saved her a lot of money.

Unfortunately I did, on Easter Sunday in fact, and then I missed the days in port of the Caymans and also of Mexico, I'm not sure if there was another day in port or not. We had the dolphin encounter planned and because I was sick we didn't go and I didn't report it to the ship but when I got home I wrote to my TA and she wrote to DCL and they gave me a credit for that on our next cruise. The worst part was is that I was feeling better and I was going to go to the PIC party but the seas were a little rough so I took some Dramamine and fell asleep instead :(

The good part, I was feeling better in time to get my lobster on the ship. LOL
