Has anyone done the "flower" tour at the GF?

After reading thru CaliD's great FAQ on the Gf I came across the Tour being offered on Thurs at 9:30 am. This would be PERFECT for my parents since they LOVE all the flower arrangements at the GF. So any opinions? We will arrive on a Thurs late but I am thinking of having my parents arive on WEd so they can do this tour or arrive early on TH am. Do you have to be a guest at the GF to attend? I hate having my parents checkin w/o me because it is always a hassle! I reserve 2 rooms with my AP and they won't split the ressie untill checkin and it takes usually 45 minutes to do it.
