Hi all. We have an ADR for Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House one morning during our trip. I was just wondering if anyone has gone and if so, how was it?? Any tips or advice?

Thanks in advance!!:flower3:

From the reviews I have seen its all been positive, so we are planning a ADR for breakfast on our Animal Kingdom day..

We went abt a week and 1/2 ago. We had an early reservation (8:30), and were seated very promptly. Our waitress (Michelle) was very nice and attentive. The food was quite good. Bring your Ziplocs! They have donuts! The characters lead a little African-inspired conga line and the kids can all play little instruments as they march and dance around the restaurant. The characters were Safari Donald, Mickey, Daisy and Goofy.

You will also have your picture taken outside before you're seated and be given the opportunity to purchase them later.

We did this breakfast on our last trip in January. The food was pretty good. There are several different buffet stations in one big room including all the Disney standards such as Mickey waffles, etc, etc. plus others such as cereal, yogurt & granola add ins, Fresh Fruit, etc. The juice is a tropical fruit juice mix.

The characters rotate as they do in other character buffets and they have a little "show" where the characters recruit kids to come into the center of the restaurant and play instruments and dance around.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

We ate here a few weeks ago, 2/12 in fact. We had a 8:05 a.m. ADR. I was very much impressed with Tusker House. The ham was OUT OF THIS WORLD I thought. My husband commented on how he didn't have a knife to cut it up. Let me tell you, he didn't need a knife as it was tender enough to cut with a fork. The thought of it now makes my mouth water. Having ate ham enough times before I know that it can make you thirsty later. We didn't have that problem at all with this ham. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!! The rest of the meal was great also. So very much to chose from. I WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK. The only thing I would change was make a later reservation for breakfast. We felt rushed to eat because we knew that the park opened at 9:00 and we wanted to do the Safari ride and Everest asap. Our waitress commented on the tipping with the new dining plan. She didn't like the way it had changed either and felt uncomfortable asking about tips etc. She told us to write to Disney and let them know that it wasn't an improvement. I thought that they were the ones wanting this but she made it sound as if it was Disney. We did encounter this at other table service restaurants also. We also skipped the photo before the breakfast. If it would have been taken with characters, I would have thought about it but I wasn't interested in spending extra $$$ for a photo taken outside the restaurant. They were surprised with us not wanting the photo but I didn't really care. The character intervention was great also. They almost came too fast if that is possible. If you have any other questions, let me know. We loved it. Hope you will also.

We went in Jan and it wasn't much different from the breakfastasuarus. It was fruit, yogurt, breads, cereals, meats, eggs and potatoes. The character interaction was good and we had an excellant server.
