We are looking at getting married end of spring beginning of summer some time and my fiance wants a small wedding and I want to get married in Disney. What all does the Escape package include? Were you satisfied with it? Can you add more than 18 people? The website doesn't tell you much. Also I see it includes a cake...is it any cake or is it just one cake? Also is the mini reception done at the same place as the ceremony? Also does anyone have any pictures of their Escape ceremony? Thank you very much!!:bride: :groom:

The Escape (intimate) package is a great alternative if you are on a strict budget or are only planning a small ceremony.

One of the brides here did an excellent "re-cap" of the package in THIS THREAD.

I had an Intimate wedding just over 2 years ago. It was perfect for what I wanted and needed. It was just DH and I so we didn't need much. It was just a dream come true for us to be married in Disney. I chose to pretty much stick to the basic package (I ordered one extra bottle of champagne, and pre-purchased my photo proofs). I still get a thrill thinking about my Disney wedding!

Unfortunately, the guest count is something Disney is VERY strict with. The maximum is 18 guests plus the bride and groom.

The cake that is included is a 2 layer cake that will feed quite a few people! It's pretty big! You have options on flavors and fillings but almost any other "special request" may have an extra charge.

In most cases, the cake and champagne reception is done right there at the ceremony location. The only exception is the Wedding Pavilion. The reception for that location is held at Commanders Terrace at the Grand Floridian.

You can look at a few of my pictures HERE

Hope that helps!

We did an Intimate wedding as well. We were told that everyone counts as a guest, even children and babies.

Our package included:

Ceremony site
Cake and champagne reception: standard two-tier cake, one bottle of champagne
Limo for 4 consecutive hours
My bouquet, DH's bout
Photographer (we hired our own and swapped this photography for an Epcot honeymoon shoot)
Organist and violinist for the ceremony (Wedding Pavilion)
Violinist for the reception

We added on the MK shoot, an extra bottle of champagne, Sprite and bottles of water for the reception.

There are several styles of Intimate cakes, so I saved a bunch of the pictures from others' TR on my computer and picked out a couple that I liked. I emailed them to my coordinator and asked if I could request a certain style or if it would cost extra. I was told that was fine, so I picked one I wanted, sent it to her, and that's the cake I got!

There are pics in my TR, linked below, and more here: http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/thumbpage.aspx?e=3113150

I think www.mouseweddings.com does a great job at explaining things as well. They also seem to have great pictures of all the locations. Just be cautious of the pricing on there, I don't know if it's current. And I haven't been on the wish book in forever and I have no idea if that's current either. I know it wasn't when I was using it before. Good Luck!
