We're leaving this coming Friday and we always detrain in Kissimmee, to us its closer, less congested and we like it. We do not rent a car so we skip orlando station, too crowded in our opinion, we have used cabs from Kissimmee to WDW but they are rather just cabs, we've paid approx. 40 bucks one way plus tip, it varies on route taken so we have now used a car service, picks us up, name card in hand, handles all our luggage and is real clean and top notch, they give us a 30 minute grocery stop enroute, Publix on rte 192, with an alcohol store next door, real money saver. The round trip car service runs us 82 buck and is far above cabs and worth it that this is our second time using them. the company is Sunray and have touted them on many posts here. Returning is great, they are there promptly when posted, quick drive to the station and usually only about 20 some people board at Kissimmee, we get our seats and are settled before we pull into the Orlando station where over 100 some people are lined up to board, long station stop, why we chose to use Kissimmee, other state if you use the Orlando stop coming down, they'll be in Disney before the train reaches Kissimmee, maybe so but the hassle of alot of people getting luggage and arranging rides isn't worth the time, we detrain in Kissimmee, to each their own.
