I was reading in a mag. about giving your parents a memory jar. You put your good childhood memories (on slips of paper) into it. Has anyone ever done this?

Never heard of the jar, but what a nice idea.

I do have a friend who has a huge framed piece. The entrie piece is scraps of paper with handwritten notes from his son. They are all, "I remember..." Sort of sounds like the same thing. Everytime I see it I notice a different one. It always brings a smile to my face. Her son did it for her and her DH 25th wedding anniversary.

Yes, I did this for DH's GM a few years back. She loved it and I loved reading the stories from all of her children and grandchildren. I actually felt rather guilty being able to read the wonderful memories they had of her.

She still has it on her table and revisits from time to time. It definately is a wonderful gift!!!

No but my dad gave me and my sisters a grade card he made one year and it is one of the best presents he ever gave me. Now this year one sister would have all failing grades but that's another story...
