Has anyone changed their wedding package after contract submission?

My fiance and I are getting married in Walt Disney World in September and we originally chose the Escape package (mid package). We are considering changing to the Memories package (this is the smallest package). Has anyone changed their wedding selection after submitting the contract and deposit? We are worried they won't let us do it. Any information would be really helpful.

I've heard of this people switching from Wishes to Escape (and vice versa). I think if you change to a smaller package, you lose your deposit, but overall it's much more affordable. Double check with your planner. Also some dates/venues that are available for Escape are not available for Memories, so double check that as well.
