has anyone camped at Bill Fredricks Turkey Lake

We are going to a wedding in Orlando in March and I booked 4 nights at Turkey Lake then we will be at FW. Has anyone camped there? What is it like? I know it won't be as nice but it is a lot cheaper. Unfortunatly money is an issue.

My parents and I have camper there quite a few times when we go to Universal because it's really close. The campground is about 40 sites. It's really tight getting to the sites because the road is narrow and winding. Lot's of shade. There is a Publix pretty close as well.

In the past Turkey Lake has generally gotten good reviews for what it is.

IT IS close to Universal.

IT IS close to the Turnpike and relatively easy on-off.

IT IS cheap compared to the Fort.

IT IS a relatively nice campground for the price.

I think it's either a city or county park/campground so it doesn't meet the more stringent state park (or Disney) standards but it is fine.

The park belongs to the city of Orlando. I am paying $23 for a full hookup site. It will be costing $108 at FW. It would really bother me to pay $108 a night just for a place to sleep. When I get to the fort I don't want to leave to do other stuff. I love seeing family but don't want to leave WDW to do so. I will try to take some pictures while I am there.

The pool is open seasonally and when open closes at 6pm, so it may not be available during your stay.
