We saw some cheaper tickets of Ebay. Has anyone ever done that? If so, were the tickets OK? Please tell about any good or bad experiences you've had. We are trying to find ways to keep this trip low budget.
Or if anyone knows of any other ways to get discount Disneyland tickets, please share. We belong to AAA and Sam's Club and I'm a teacher. If you know of ANY way to get cheaper tickets, please let me know.
Thanks,

My friends bought tickets off ebay. It worked out for them and they saved money but they also said the whole thing did seem a bit "sketchy". :confused3

I don't think buying tickets from ebay is a good idea, there's no way to know if the tickets are good until you get to the park. If they aren't you'll ending up spending alot more in the long run. When are you going? If you go before the end of April there are a couple of promotions running for tickets. Also check www.getawaytoday.com for a package, they have some really good deals on hotel/ticket packages.

You have to be extremely careful buying tickets off ebay. There are many sellers that will sell you partially used tickets (5 day hoppers with 2-3 days left on them, etc). This is not a safe purchase! The tickets are non-transferable. Disney does not have to let you in with the ticket. There can also be problems with people selling the free childs tickets, and not stating they are for a child. Just way to may problems, I wouldnt do it.

We have sold our partially used hopper tickets on ebay before and the people that bought them from us did not have any problems using them and left us positive feedback. If you do this I'd only buy them from ebayers that have 100% positive feedback and a high number of it- like more than 100. Another thing you could do is buy the hopper tickets yourself and sell the remaining days on ebay. Good luck!

Like the user above suggested I would consider buying the tickets and then selling your unused portion on ebay.

I too looked into that 2yrs ago when I took my sons and for the reasons stated by others I was really nervous about buying tickets from someone and not knowing for sure they would be good. SO I bought the 5 day tickets and then sold 2 days of them on ebay. When we were done I went right down and overnighted them. I got good feedback and they had no problems using the tickets.

I also had sold the unused portion early enough that I actually used the money fromt he sale to help me purchase the tickets, since i didnt buy them until after the sale.

use AAA there discount is great, actually can pay for the membership. i saw tickets on e-bay for the Halloween party at CA last year for triple the price then disney had , and Disney still had tickets available!

I did the same thing- worked out great!

There was a fellow back in early November that posted a link for somewhere in the U.S. that Teachers can buy tickets at a discounted price and it was a really good deal. I'm just rushing out the door now but will try and find it when I get back, or maybe someone else knows the link I am referring to and will post it in the meantime.
