I'm looking to fly from Manchester to Orlando on 30 Sept this year, returning on 15 Oct. The cheapest fare I can find is indirect flights via Orbitz, at $670, whereas via the UK sites the cheapest one stop fares are over £500. As Orbitz are not UK based, I'm a bit wary of booking - does anyone have experience to reassure me?

Many thanks.

I used them for a trip in Oct 2008, they are a big company incorperating
ebookers
HotelClub.com
RatesToGo.com
Trip.com
Away.com
GORP.com
OutsideOnline.com
Orbitz Games

Used them for this trip Oct half term, paid $478.21, at the time it was $2/£1 meaning we paid about £240pp, UK agents wanted at least £420pp
Orlando 10/23/08 ( Thu, Oct 23 - Sat, Nov 1 ) Total trip cost: $1,434.63 USD

Also booked a 1 way flight back to UK with them (got free flight outbound using airmiles)
Manchester 8/25/08 ( Mon, Aug 25 - Tue, Aug 26 )

Wouldn't hesitate to use them again but never find them cheaper anymore for our dates.

Check that the $ price includes all the taxes, you may have to do a dummy booking to see what the price comes out as

They include all taxes Jeanette:thumbsup2

Converts to £438pp at $1.53/£1

If you can fly from Gatwick Southall travel have Delta flights fro £378.50

From MAN travelup.co.uk are cheapest at £475pp

Orbitz look to be best from a very quick search.

Just done a bit more searching.
Cheaptickets.com(owned by Orbitz) same price.

Expedia.co.uk £450 (Expedia Special Fare) Less 1% Quidco cashback

Expedia.com $659 or £431, you used to be able to book via .com, not sure if you still can or not.

Done it - booked 2 flights ex MAN to MCO on 30 Sept, returning 15 Oct via Orbitz. Total charge was $1228, so I reckon about £400 pp, which I'm really pleased with:cool1:

It's been 6 years since our last Orlando visit, so this is looong overdue and now very eagerly anticipated. In fact I can't believe we're really going!!

Thanks so much to everyone's contributions on this forum, the knowledge people have on here is invaluable. A particular thank you must go to wayneg, his previous experience with Orbitz gave me the confidence to book with them for the first time and to know that I was getting the best price going.

Bring on the planning:banana:
