Did it work out okay?
Can you confirm that you have seats with the airline? Do yu have any tips for me?

Thanks
Mick:)

We always book through travelocity but live in Southern Ontario and fly from
Buffalo on USAir or Delta. I find their prices fluctuate from day to day. We know what we want to pay person and then book as soon as we see a good
price. They also charge an admin fee per ticket. (about 15-20 dollars) This
will show as a separate credit card charge.

Don't know about Canadian airlines but we have always booked our seats at the time of booking the tickets. The seating plan comes up and you select your own seats.

We also received email updates on any flight changes. Also had to call there customer service number and they were courteous and helpful.

I booked travelocity.com one time (for some reason the flights i saw and eventually booked on the .com site were not visable in the .ca)
This was for Delta Airlines.
If it is possible to book directly with the airline, that would be advisable (although you might find the odd special deal that might be cheaper than the airline website). If it becomes neccesary to make changes or ask for a credit,it might be a lot easier with the airline themselves...plus there is no service charge a-la Travelocity.

I booked flights from Toronto to Las Vegas through travelocity.ca I like that you see Canadian prices and know exactly what you are paying.

We also flew with two carriers and saved quite a bit of money and got the exact flights we wanted.

We could reserve our seats on one airline only.

Having said that, I went to WDW in December and booked on Air Canada for less than Travelocity.ca

You need to do your homework and check everywhere. Don't forget expedia.ca as well. It takes time but can pay off if you have the patience.

An example is to look at Travelocity.ca and find the flights you like. Note the price and then go to the airline(s) site and see what it is there.

Have fun

We flew from YHZ to MCO on Dec. 28 - Jan. 11/07 and I booked the flights for nine people with Travelocity.ca. It worked out fine. We were a grand gathering that included 2 families and we sat at the computer and booked Continental and back with Delta. Delta did mess with our seating (no blame to travelocity) but our seating with Continental was just as we requested. We were able to purchase cancellation insurance through travelocity and it was reasonable. Hope this is helpful. We would use them again.

I forgot to mention that I generally watched both travelocity and expedia. We found travelocity had better prices this year and last year we had used expedia. I found that from our area we found the best prices mid week and in the afternoon. Hope that helps. :surfweb:

Thank you for helping me everyone!

We usually book with the airline but I could not get the later flight back that I wanted through them so I had to go with Travelocity. I hope it works out okay.:)

We booked on travelocity last eyar when Delta pilots were threatening to strike. We did confirm our ressies, pre-printed our boarding passes, and had no problems. The only problem with Travelocity is that they have no customer service. Had Delta pilots gone on strike we might have been SOL. You board last if you book on Travelocity because you've paid the 'discount' rate.
